I have bought the kit taking the 944 roll bar to a "you weld " cage. Any ideas who can perform this in Fairfield , ct area?
There is one major draw back with this.
Weight. Most roll bars are 1.75 dia 1.20 wall.
A roll cage only needs to be 1.75 dia by .095 wall for most orgs. Some may even get by with less thickness. The reason this is important is that some larger drivers in later model 944 can have issues getting to minimum weight. If you are sub 170lbs driver and have 83-85 chassis or a 924S chassis you may be ok on weight even with a "heavy" cage.
Any ideas on s local welder to instaul it ?
