has there actually been any sort of ruling on the autoxability from the club or whomever else is going to be turning someone away to an automatic 99 in the event and leaving you hung out to just drags and concours?

also a current static stability chart link would be helpful, as i think i could get a certain vehicle under the curve if i know exactly what that is by making things lower and way wider. i keep finding a couple year old chart on threads and seeing people post that it's outdated and the width to height ratio is more strict now.

NHTSA SSF Data in the appendix.

SCCA wants a Static Stability Factor of 1.30 or greater.

Interesting. 2001 Oddysey is at 1.32.

Some interesting finds in that publication:
Pg 13: '87-'90 Escort Wagon 1.26
Pg 15: '81-84 Jetta 1.21

So, in "stock form" both of those would fail the SCCA criteria. A little lowering and some wider wheels than stock and they both likely pass. I would guess that as stock they were both outfitted with 80 series 13" rims (super narrow.)

This one here gets much more detailed with measured track widths and CG heights and with multiple measurement states (no people, just driver, full load, max GVWR, etc). Scroll down to the tables.

An example of how the Chevy Lumina APV SSF varies:

1.057 (cargo version w/2 people + ballasted to max GVWR with ballast in cargo area)

1.123 (passenger version, just driver) <---this is the value that is reported for the vehicle

1.215 (cargo version w/2 people + ballasted to max GVWR with ballast spread out on the floor)
