Most modern vehicles have a frame and track width that's way too wide to fit under a 1930s car.

S10? Less than 3 feet wide, front track is 56" flange to flange, easy V8 swap.

Relevant information.

According to WIKI:

'38 buick: wheelbase, 133 inches, width 75.5 inches
GMT800: wheelbase, 119, 133, or 143.5, width 78.5 inches

Seems like a durn close fit to me.

I couldn't find a picture of it, but someone put a body like that on an F-350 frame with a 6 foot dump box behind it. It was nicely done.

That thing is begging for a Modified circle track frame.

I have a pre war something on my bucket list. That body is going to require a massive amount of work but if you're up for it then why not? I personally like the idea of dropping that shell on a S10 chassis. I'd keep it as stock looking as possible but it's your dream do what you want and enjoy it.
