Project cars are always demanding. Regardless of the planning and preparation, something is bound to go wrong, even under the best circumstances.

Undertaking a project in order to compete in the Grassroots Motorsports $2003 Challenge adds just that much more strain to an already complicated endeavor, because when something goes wrong, a competitor doesn’t necessarily have the funds to make …

I've seen Festivas win in oval-track racing. Surprisingly strong cars. Combine that with a Ford Taurus SHO drivetrain, and you got something with quite a bit of speed - and fun.

I remember reading about the SHOgun cars years ago and thought they were insane.  Very cool but really really pricey at the time.  Those Yamaha engines were really something, though, but I wonder what would happen if they were boosted?

Your take on the SHOgun is great! Show us all how it's done! CHEERS!

Internet trolls tell me, "You can't put a FWD sidewinder lump in the back of a car". (I Don't listen to trolls)

All I know is my "can't be done" car currently rolls and as soon as I am back from vacation we'll be running it to see what breaks! Fixing that and repeat, etc..(come on folks. it's your next LEGO challenge.)

Maybe now WE can get the "mid engine cars built out of older FWD bodies" revolution on the rails! The drive lines and bodies are out there my peeps, Be Brave, put em' together! Move those COG's and PMI's! Will you really miss that back seat? I won't.

Stay Strong My Friends!

I always wondered how the performance of the home built Fastiva compared to the Shoguns.

In reply to earlybroncoguy1 :

I would seriously consider buying that coffee table for my office, but I need to free up cash first.  Love that SHO engine coffee table yes
