where I found 98 - 01ish Town Cars hovering around two grand. I can't think of any reason not to buy one. One in particular is calling my name. 101k Cartier with a charging issue asking $2200. I'll buy it if I can get him down to $1500. Here, the Town Cars seem to be cheaper than the other Panther cousins.
Get an 01+ if you can for the PI version of the engine, or at least find one with the intake manifold swapped (original had a plastic coolant crossover, the replacement has an aluminum one).

Javelin is right though. Try to get a PI version. Also, if they are the same as the CV/GM, the 03s+ have a rack and pinion and aluminum suspension bits. These things are completely worthless on a 4500lbs cruiser but im just saying.
So I bought it. The charging problem was a bad regulator in the new alternator. After fixing the alternator and selling the two bad spare batteries in the trunk I'm all in for $1448. BTW it came with the window sticker. New it cost $43,615. I'm ecstatic.

No, my neighbor's. The ford sedan is everything that sucks about the whole "rat rod" movement, the Chevelle is a decent car.

I hate you.
I'm banned from owning Lincolns by my wife. Something about almost being killed in one, maimed in one, and one just dying makes her think they are a cursed brand to me. I told her that Lincoln saved my life, plus the titanium leg makes a great avatar.
The last gen Town Car is a screaming deal. Tons of space, decent mpg, decent power, and all the toys you could ask for. Cruising for hours on end at above highway speeds are a joy in that car. You suck, but I applaud you sir.
I looked on the trader, for giggles. Quite startling to see them advertised with 700 000 plus kilometres on them.
