Thanks for the link, I sent it to my brother-in-law. He has 2 of those engines sitting in his garage along with several other Flatheads.

This is a pic of the engine in his 40 Ford.

A friend of mine built a "classic" looking hot rod using the Ford flathead V8. It looked like something you would build back in the 50's. Cool car. He sold it as it was a roaster and not that practical here in the upper Midwest. He didn't drive it much so it went.

Picture of engine in BIL's car is not the same as the one in the video. Engine in video is a "V8 60" ~60 HP. BIL has 2 of those just for his collection. Engine in picture is a 1953 Mercury with Offenhauser heads, Edelbrock intake manifold, 2 Stromberg 97 carbs, etc.

Awesome video. Thanks for sharing. 5.5-1 compression ratio. 19 mpg. The shocks are a lot more complicated than I expected. That was totally cool.
