I saw them as an interesting way to lay down some tech on differing vehicles. It would be interesting to start a database of different cars with tech specs, what can be easily done power wise with mods, weak points, how much tire can fit, and so on..
But the VS setup of the threads led to a lot of fire from the hip thought. People will be predjuice on different cars and it can be an emotional issue.
For instance, in the mustang vs z car thread I am on the mustang side, mostly because its what I know.. Seeing what a BSP 300zxTT can do power-wise was a big surprise for me. Probably wouldnt want one because of hearing what a PITA they are to work on, but it is fun to know what can make it worth it.

Between all of the stupid VS. threads and the multitude of craigslist ads, or which car threads, there isn't a whole lot on here that interests me anymore. Caviler Z24 used to do pretty well in autocross right? I saw a CP Cimmaron once with huge hoosier slicks that was pretty fast too. lol

I'll put it terms that I hope you'll understand-I was bemoaning the fact that instead of mods, automotive Q & As, tips, etc., it seems, IMHO, that the board is being overrun with sophomoric nonsensical CRAP.
