Nope a black one in Charlotte NC.

C6 on black steelies with Blizzaks kinda makes me happy. i should look into that. whatever i get, it's going to be my 4-season car here in MI.
LOL do not put a C6 on steelies.
C7 is in your price range now. ITS LOADS BETTER than the c6 although it didn't speak to me like the 981 I drove. FYI you'll have to lie on tire rack to get the tires you need, they wont sell you H-rated tires for a vette.
I'd look at a v6 camaro... I know you said v8, but that v6 is stupid fast, cheap as dirt, and the chassis is good... very good.
brand new a 1le has an MSRP of $32-35k... find a used one and roll or this one..
track missle... daily driver.. check!

Link has an extra :// in it. And that's a great car! I haven't seen any that cheap that look that good.
I know you said V8, but you are already considering V6's, so have you considered a Boost Buggy ? I've seen some Focus RS's for very close to $30K and if you also drop the domestic requirement there are WRX and STi's aplenty out there.

Outstanding car to drive for sure as a DD, but even when I test drove one new in 06 it felt really really dated back then, let alone 12 years later.
In reply to Adrian_Thompson :
I absolutely love mine as a daily. The only car I've has as a DD that I enjoyed more was probably my 2005 cobalt ss supercharged. Wasn't nearly as practical though
In reply to Adrian_Thompson :
to be fair, i'm not sure if I've ever owned a car or driven a car with an engine that felt so... rough? maybe thats the right word? I'll say the engine isn't refined in the least. It's come a long way in the ecoboost mustangs thats for sure.
If you're considering pre 2010 don't forget G8 GT or GXP. In my head I have a hard time justifying a 3500+ curb weight for something with only two doors.

almost broke my neck the other day spinning to look at one of those with a holden front end. looked great
Thank you for making this thread! I was thinking about making a similar one and was doing research on 10 year old or so sports cars.
It felt like a revelation when I was looking at Carmax and saw C6 corvettes in the low 20's. That lead me down the rabbit hole that they also have ~2008 M3's in the mid 20's. Further research discovered some decent aftermarket warranties that will cover the car for five years! That made the idea of buying a used Cayman or something else German a little more palatable.
I wanted to put together a list of cars to test drive in this range and see what happens. THEN somebody said C7 corvettes are in the low 30's and it got even crazier. Autotrader showed a few in that range, but they are mostly across the country, but still it was a revelation.
Anyways, enough rambling. Good luck on your quest! Hope you have fun driving all the things.

I'd recommend an amg car too if he didn't require a manual. Or a cls550/e550 coupe with the bi-turbo 5.5 v8. Not an amg but eurocharge tune and exhaust will sure make you happy.
That video though. The giggle factor would be the reason I'd average 10mpg in such a car!
Breathe some new life into one of your American Flat 6
Aren't there Audi's with three pedals and a V8? Perhaps S5? I seem to recall seeing those for a surprisingly low price and pretty new as well. Just something to consider.
Oh, and I sat in an SS at the Rolex @ Daytona race a year or two ago and I was in love! I couldn't put my finger on any one thing, but just fit me great! Why couldn't I pull the trigger when they were 20% off new!!
I'm 3 weeks in to my 128i and I absolutely love this car. I only wish I had test driven one years ago, if I had, I would never have bought the Shelby Mustang nor the 370Z. Now I don't want to autocross it, but as a daily driver it is about perfect. The size is not too big nor to small, gets OK mpg and has decent power. You can still get them with low mileage, but they are old enough to still have a proper steering rack and that great inline BMW 6. Highly recommended.
