Got the Fit's new tires mounted this morning, so that's one down. The parking brake problem on the P71 isn't what I initially thought though. Turns out the left rear brake cable came loose from the parking brake assembly, and I can't get the rotor off to get to the innards to figure out why or how to fix it. It's going to the shop on Monday so pros with better tools can take care of it.
Now to start mounting the push bar.
Running the Marine Corps Marathon on Sunday morning (and hopefully only about 15 minutes of Sunday afternoon).
Replaced the rear brake rotors on the race car, cleaned the gutters and put sealer on the roof where it has a leak.
I should be at Mid-Ohio racing with AER in the #54 car but instead I am forced to run, ride motorcycles, shoot clays, grill ribs and drink beer. So... I'm not working on any berkeleying thing this weekend :)
Before and after. This pan is approximately 85 years old. I will enjoy my first batch of cornbread baked in her tomorrow.
Well my plans for the day went sideways. The D-rings got welded, then I spent the rest of the day rebuilding the entire front corner of a Datsun B210. The radius rod mount got ripped of the chassis at the last rallycross. Mostly because that entire corner was a mass of rust. Much welding replaced the front 18" of the frame and the bottom of the radiator support. Wiring will have to happen tomorrow.
The beast in question.

Dude! I had one of those back in the day. My first real car. Ended up selling it to a cousin. I still miss it.
Toyman01....what is the proper description for the individual that happens to own two people haulers??

Sorry dude, 4th weddings shouldn’t have a ceremony.

They are a pretty cool little car.
As far as what happened, battery acid happened. All over the front corner of the car. Rust had eaten everything the front mount was attached to. Add in some rallycrossing and it destroyed what was left. The front 12" of the frame horn was gone. Bumper mount was gone, as well as half of the front bulkhead and radiator support. The radius rod was attached to the missing section of frame and the lower radiator support so all of that had to be rebuilt. I scabbed in some 1X3 C channel I had. We'll see how it holds up.
Worked on the '81 RX-7 today, going to work on it some more tomorrow, and then when I run out of parts I am going to work on the '84 for a while.
I did manage to make it for part of the autocross on Friday. Now I am back to work on the Tiny House that I have been building in my spare time (insert sarcasm emoji)

Pulled the brake drums off of the CRX to see why they make so much noise. And why the shoes seem to stick to the drums after using the parking brake. The shoes looked glazed and have about 3mm of material left. Eh, they should be fine for awhile.
Decided to put the snow tires on it since I had it in the garage.
The starter is starting to get flaky after sitting for a few days. Who knows how old it is. Another project for another weekend .
Replaced the 3 engine/transmission mounts on my new cheap daily. Also changed the thermostat/housing on it, as it was throwing a code for opening too soon.
After 220K miles the mounts had given up in spectacular fasion..
I'm just working and then sleeping during the day in a motel room. Other than work drama, my big plans for the weekend is hit up the laundromat in the morning before I hit the rack.

I think the term you are looking for is aflicted. Or possibly unsane.
I need to replace engine and trans mounts on the CTS-V. Also need to do the same on the Ladybug! along with guibo, center bearing, and valve cover gasket. The Seven needs a oil change.
However, this couch is holding me hostage.

I also need to replace the timing belt on #1 daughters car. After all that is done I hope to start pulling the Europa's engine in prep of a 1.8t swap.
Did ELI the ICE man pay a visit to the lesson?
I volunteered for a maker space event yesterday. Hopefully today I'll do some modifications on the amplifier I built.
