I've seen them survive 400 whp turbo Miatas. I'd be a little concerned in the drag if you really hook up, but if you can keep the car from wheel hopping that will help a LOT.
The MSM has beefier splines in the diff and stronger CV joints (for 150 rwhp, Mazda is vewwy conservative). A little harder to find but it would give you a little more headroom.
Wheelhop kills them quick. Trust me.
For a stick application inertia draw by the clutch is the real axle killer, not V8 torque!
