So oddly enough, the DMV is making me show them proof of insurance for the car, in person. Don't know why, it's been on the same Hagerty policy for the last two years that I've owned it. Also curious why I couldn't send it in online or something, but whatever.
Upshot is that since I have to go the DMV anyways, I might as well put in for a vanity plate. I had a larger list of choices but then checked to see which ones were taken and these are the ones that are available. Which one does everyone like?

Actually I was thinking about you the other night. Just up the street there was a guy with a 996TT just like your's with smoke just bellowing out of the engine. I was tempted to give him a low ball offer but passed on it and walked on by.

he probably popped a coolant pipe and then dumped all the coolant out. This thing holds an insane amount of coolant in it. Porsche glued the coolant fittings into the motor and the glue fails over time. The fix is to remove all the fittings (8 of them), clean them up and then reglue them and pin them into place or weld them into place. Basically an engine out job, I've been waiting to do it on mine until I have a fitting fail or my clutch goes.
