In reply to chandler :

I'm actually good with that plate on a Rabbit.

I've always felt the only place a 2fast4u plate belonged was on a top fuel funny car.

While in high school, a friend’s older sister had something like FLN AGL on her Firebird. Or maybe it was a Camaro.

So we pronounced as it looked: “fel-nagle.”

One day we asked what she thought it said.

Fallen angel.

This one was fun, and apparently random-

I saw an MS3 with the plate POO ORGY where one of the Os was made up from the drawing on the plate

I forgot about the tag I had on the back of my 5 cylinder Audi GT. I don't have any pics of it, but it was XTRACYL.

King of vanity plates.

Unfortunately the prudish Commonwealth didn't find the humor in it:

Many years ago when I bought the project TR7 I put it in the driveway until I could clear the garage.  I came home about 4 days later to a citation saying that I had to get rid of the JUNK CAR on my property.  Now, the only thing that made it a junk car was that it didn't have a license plate, I will also mention that the ordinance allowed said car to be on the property for 90 days.  I explained that the car was going into the garage and the case was dismissed.

Fast forward, I  finally go to get plates and, for grins and giggles, check to see if I can get personalized collector plates...the ones I wanted were available but too expensive so I declined.

About a month later, a package from the Ohio DMV... a pair of plates with "JNK CAR".  Still have the plates to this day.

That reminds of the Will Ferrell/Daryl Hammond Jeopardy skits where Hammond always did Sean Connery and intentionally mispronounced the category names.

"AN ALBUM COVER" = "ANAL BUM COVER"

I don't like most vanity plates for some reason. But I have an OSU tag on my car since that's where I graduated from college, so I guess that's kind of on the same level.

My wife has had "RX4 AGE" for years and years. The corvette is "Shadeux". I wanted to get "ATAIM59" for the miata but went with whatever the state gave us.

Usually they are pretty stupid - maybe only one step above the names people put on their boats, but I did see one that made me laugh. It was a plate on a rusty clapped out old VW bug that said "Poorsche"

If I ever get my body back in shape enough to be able crawl out from under my car and get up off of the ground to do the little bit of maintenance needed to put my 1800 on the road and get a new title to replace my lost one, I can get lifetime classic registration and vanity plates for $100. I don't know if I can get the lettering placed offset to the right but I will add the word "THE" off to the left in metallic stick on letters. wink It's ironic on three levels: I'm an Atheist, I'm also the VolvoHeretic, and my car is the vehicle the character, the SAINT drove.

My Red Mazda 2 had the plate "WEDGE" until I sold the car last year. Star Wars reference.

Replaced that car with a Prius C with the plate "THREEPO."

My wife's i3 has "DOWN DOG" cause she teaches yoga part time.

Her Smart fortwo was "AGENT99" only because MAXWELL was already taken.

I think Vermont may have the highest per capita vanity plates of any place I've been. So many here.

Lost the pics in a hard drive crash, but we had twin white '95 Neon sedans parked side by side in the driveway.

For a while our plates were ALLYRBS and RBLNG2S.

When I bought the Manic Miata the owner had MXHDRM on it, but I have that tag back to him.

Ok I would guffaw at that. But non-car folks probably wouldn't get it.
