Why not throw an FC front subframe under the FB?
I like the Supra idea, bodies and frames usually in decent shape. Dollars should match up for a roller..
John Spangler, no relation?
The MGB is well supported on this site:
http://www.mgexperience.net/phorum/list.php?40
There are two kits on the market including headers. Many conversions to follow.
If you want more, look here:
http://www.britishv8.org/Photos-MG-Conversions.htm
Scroll down to MGB sports cars and each link will lead you to a build journal with a swap relating to what is mentioned besides the link. I count 17 302 swaps. The car I posted earlier is amongst them.
I'd go for whatever 70s Japanese, rwd, econobox you can find - Datsun 210, Mazda 808, Dodge Colt, etc.

3rd-gen Supra is a fine-looking automobile.... Hmm..
My father was named John, but he passed 10 years ago.

I worry a bit about the suspension and brakes, but there's no denying the coolness. Thanks, I'll definitely do some reading there.

The all-knowing internet tells me it doesn't fit. I think the front-mounted distributor is too high. I think an LS1 -powered 944 would be pretty much the ultimate, but my max budget is around $8k for this whole thing, and I don't think that's doable.

You are just like Jethro when Granny put the candle out by blowing through his ears. George W. and I actually started on that swap, then his wife got in the fambly way, and...

The Jags That Run guy would probably be more responsive. LSx powered 940. Hmmmm....
Get creative with an oil pan and drop it in a G-body GM. Seriously. I went as far as having everything ready to drop a 302 into my 87 Cutlass Salon until someone offered me crazy money for it.
Please complete this project for me

I'll see your LSX powered 940 and raise you 2 turbos in a 740.

Would the distributorless setup from a 5.0 Explorer help or is the two piece manifold in the way also?
