I'm driving into Boston this morning and something bright red is coming up behind me. Like, bright Ferrari red. As its coming up in my rear view I see the front. It has a skinny front bumper like on a BMW M1 or a TVR 280i. It also has a black plastic slotted piece about a third of the way back on the hood that runs side to side but not onto the front fenders. I think maybe its a Pantera at first. Goes by and the rear sail planes are 4" square tubes running from the roof back to above the tail lights, and nothing under them. You can reach under them and touch the trunk deck. I know I have seen pics of this before and start racking my brain, can't come up with the right model until I get home and start looking at 70s supercar images. Figured you guys would enjoy the game as well. Bet the sail planes are a dead give away. Go.
You got it. Oddly beautiful and in excellent condition. First time I have seen one in person, but I knew I had seen pictures of thenm before.
Im not too good with the internets but these should be the links to the shenanigans
Part 1.
Part 2.
Part 3.
So somehow I managed to bungle up the links:
Real part 1 (I hope)
Also, apparently there is a part 4:
The picture posted above does not do justice to how awesome that car looked in person as it went by me. The paint work was stunning. Could have easily passed for a brand new car even thou it was close to 50 years old. Amazing how timeless some of the older wedge shaped sports cars look. I get asked all the time what year my TR8s are. When I tell them they are 40 years old, very few people believe me.
