The FR-S rolls on 17x7 48+ offset wheels. I've been jonesing for some new hoops, and trolling CL, and LetGo for some 5x100 bolt pattern wheels. Missed out on some RPF1 Enkeis, but I found these:

Rays GramLights. 17x7 +48 offset and 5x100 pattern Same size as OEM. i just bough new Indy 500 in OEM size so these would be perfect. These wheels are not cheap new. Like stupid expensive. The guy wants $550 for them. Assuming they aren't pounded square from potholes, is this a good deal?

You already bought these, right?  At that price, even if they need a little work to be perfect, it's still a good deal.  Post pics when they're on your car.

Those would look good on a frisbee.

Rays are quality pieces.  I'd snatch em up if they're still available and not completely berkeleyered.

Question 2: For $50 more, the seller has titanium lug nuts that go with it. Is that worth it?

No.

Titanium has its place but fasteners is not ever one of them.

I mean, in the scope of things that is only a few bucks more than Gorlla spline drives from O'Reilly's.  But titanium sucks as a material.  You need to goop antisieze over it to keep it from galling, which absolutely sucks unless you like fingerpainting and eating "wall candy" as a hobby.  And then they gall anyway.

I like them and it's a great deal, you should scoop them up.

That confirms my suspicion. I'm not chasing ounces. The OEM lug nuts should be OK, right?

It's entirely possible that the openings for the lug nuts will be too small for the factory lugs AND the socket necessary to turn them on and off.  There's tons of reasonably priced "keyed" lug nuts that are both smaller in outer diameter than a factory lug nut and use special "key" to turn them on and off.  Factory lugs would also make these ridiculously easy to steal.  Don't want your nice new Rays showing up on some flat brimmer's Subaru.

That's an amazing deal, but since they're stock size, I would be tempted to flip them and put some of the profits into wider, maybe bigger, and much cheaper if unfortunately heavier wheels.

Factory lugs wont work, different angle on the taper iirc. Get the ti ones, put some anti seize on and enjoy.

I'd agree if I didn't already have fresh rubber to put on that size rim.

Good/great deal. They're not forged or flow formed as far as I can tell, just gravity cast, so there's definitely there's a bit of a tax for the Volk/Rays name. If you like the look, go for it. I think the Toyabaru twins look a little better with a lower offset personally, and some more rim width to run 245s squared. They probably won't be much lighter  than stock.

Id get the titanium lug nuts, antiseize them, and run them.  Then brag about my cool titanium lug nuts

There is a place in Britain that still sells these,  as they were discontinued in 2009. They sell, new, for $320/wheel. SO $550 is a steal.  I'm checking on finances. If I can swing it, I'm getting ahold of the guy ASAP.

I would just get a new set of chrome acorn nuts with the proper taper and have it over with.  I bought a box of lug nuts via Amazon for cheap a few years ago and would go that route again if i needed to.

I think this wheel will look good on a frisbe as well.
