A carbon fiber Lotus Exige fitted with a 15k rpm NA powerplant making in excess of 450hp and enough torque to spin slicks from 6k to redline with a 7 speed sequential straight cut rally gearbox and paddle shifters, top end Penske suspension, an infinite number of forged wheels shod with road race slicks and a top notch female factory race tech with the face of any of Charlie's Angels from either era (except Drew Barrymore), the body of an Olympic figure skater, poor moral compass and no discernible gag reflex.

A longintudinal transaxle case and based off of the T-56 gears. I am not even sure if its mechanically feasible, but would be a neat way to get a transaxle that can take modern V8 horsepower but doesnt cost a fleet of NA miata.
Carbon fibre front clip, doors and truck lid for 94-96 Chevy B-Bodies.
Or an FC RX7 with a 300hp diesel 4 cylinder.

You're in luck! Find a C5 Corvette and bring a floor jack.
Rwd volvo c30
Miata with a super light 4.0l v8 like 300hp
Nissan to make a new 240sx but with turbo in america
This one might sound crazy but brz with sti motor and awd. Like wtf is subaru even doing with a car that isnt awd anyways?

Making a car that isn't lame and either aimed at soccer moms or wannabe rally drivers?
In reply to rslifkin:
Touche but here we believe Subaru only made the brat, wrx, sti, and forester xt.
I was meaning more their claim to fame of every subaru is "safe awd".
Dont get me wrong i love the frisbee twins. But wouldnt it be bonkers with 300awd hp? Like a modern day celica alltrac.
A modern version of the Datsun 510?
An Alfa Romeo sedan?
A Jeep pickup truck?
A "mini" sized pickup truck?
OK, enough silliness.
I'd like to have something with a SAAB b202 or b234 turbo engine mated to a RWD gearbox. Turn the boost up to 11 please!
I also wouldn't mind if that RWD gearbox was a sequential unit.
AWD GT350 with PDK and an actual hatchback for $35k OTD

New Mazda 3 hatch, rally inspired long-travel suspension, 4wd, and a turbo skyactiv engine. complete with rear wings and stickers inspired by the 323 GTX.
Not talking crossover garbage here, actual rally car. also make them go back to the WRC.
Small cheap fwd truck like the old rabbits and brats. I was thinking based on the ford transit. Make it decent looking with a 6 foot bed. And you could make a sporty version with the ecoboost.

I've thought of this before, Transit Connect truck, you could call it the Econoline Pickup.

If you don't mind the diff being on the wrong end. IIRC Internet lore claims that you can use a normal bell and shifter parts on one and bolt an engine in place of the torque tube.
Ever since Mercedes bought AMG, there has never been a three-pedal manual AMG car. I'd like a lightweight and relatively inexpensive three pedal sports car to compete with the Boxster. Mercedes is re-working their class names, and SLC is the new for this year name for the SLK line.
My idea: SLC45 AMG Spyder.
Like an SL65 AMG Black Series of a few years back, lose the heavy SLC hard top system, but replace it with a minimal soft top as found on the Boxster Spyder. Lose the AIRSCARF seats for the Recaro racing seats that are going in to the XXA45 cars. Adapt the 2 liter AMG turbo with its 26 lbs of boost and 375hp output to rear drive, and bolt it to the last manual transmission Mercedes sold in the US - which was just killed off for this year, and last appeared in the SLK chassis. Add mechanical limited slip, a steel sport-oriented suspension, some unique wheels and trim, and an aircon and radio delete option (mostly for show) and I think you could have a very reasonable and honest sports car.
Also, since the SLC name was previously on the C107 chassis, and the C107 was successfully raced, a special edition could be offered, similar to what was done with the 722 edition of the SLR.
An AWD Fit with a K series engine under the hood. Honda has all the parts to make it happen sitting on the shelf right now.

If you want to go back to the WRC then the 3 is too big, it would have to be the 2.
Or if you want the 3 then get the one with the FOCUS RS badge on it.

I want Ford to make a Lincoln the size of the Fusion and make it rear wheel drive in the vein of when Cadillac first released the CTS. Then push all of the Lincoln models into RWD platforms and go after other Autobahn burners. Then get rid of Mathew Mcconaughey as a spokesperson(sorry ladies) and get Patrick Dempsey (you're welcome ladies).

This has been done. Scarily enough, the guy I know that built one ended up putting it in a Wrangler It's a little much power-wise for that chassis...
TL Type S six speed stock drivetrain (well maybe a beefed up transmission) in a MR2 style car.
Think V6 DelSol driving the back wheels
