The 2-minute mark at NCM is special territory, by the way. Last year's UTCC winner, in a Stohr prototype, turned a 2:00.901 lap.
It certainly sounds the part.
How do you call this a production car? Hardly anything is stock.

"Production-based car" I think was intended. “It may be one of the fastest cars that still has a stock engine, stock transmission, stock rear end and stock axles,” Steve acknowledges.

This is the 'ol: OEM unmodified car A is beat by heavily modified car B, therefore, car B is better. "Better" is very subjective.

I look at it as "I built this modified production car myself in my shop and it's quicker than (one of) the fastest production car(s) available at any price"
