Fatman Fabrication has some bolt-on front suspension that seems to fix a lot that isn't desirable on the front of these cars, including ball joint clearance. Not sure what the setup costs.

Interesting. So the take away I guess is they are cheaper to modify than the stang and can almost be the same car.

I think the buy-in is cheaper than a Mustang but since a lot of the upgrades are the same, the costs involved will be about the same.
God there are some good looking Mavericks in this thread.
Over time I have warmed up to a lot of cars, including disco Nova’s, Cordoba’s, Mustang II’s, Vega’s, etc. But a Maverick? I just don’t ever see that happening.

Always liked the Mavericks. Ran across one on the road a few years ago and was more than a little shocked at the asking price...
If it were completely rust free, I could see that asking price. 
Six banger car with rust and Bondo patches? Um, move the decimal 1 place to the left...
I could see 240Z bolt on flares really upping the JDM vibe the Green car has.
