Price was what got my attention for the first Maverick hybrid and ironically price is what makes me no longer interested in the 2024...

Just placed my re-order.   I tried dropping to an XL but I'm not sure what config chaos that will cause.  hopefully it goes through and I still get a discount for the hybrid.

The price increases are making me less interested, but I still dont see anything else out there that interests me.

Anyone succeed in confirming their new for 2024 order? Not seeing anything online with my searches.

Went in yesterday morning & got things set up along with leaving a check for a deposit. Sales person said they would get it entered once the order banks opened & email me the CVPO form to sign yesterday. No word. Called an hour after the dealership opened this morning & was told "we're just getting things going this morning, but you should be hearing from us by lunchtime."

Got a text about 2pm saying my order was in & they were waiting on Ford for the form.

I have never had a good experience with a Ford dealer, so I'm trying to figure out if this is the same don't give a berkeley about the customer attitude or what.

Yep but I couldn't change my order to an XL in Terrain. Terrain requires at least xlt. So xlt it is. Order ID A526. I don't think I want it anymore. Anyone want to buy mine when it comes in?

Is the 2.5 hybrid an $ option now? My order says it's $1500 though my original order says $0. Maybe they'll rebate that. Original order came to $27195 this one is right on $30000, only difference between the two is color and model year.

So I guess my Order ID is G601 then. Does this mean you are way further ahead than me? Guessing by the price it sounds like you outfitted yours the same as mine except no splash guards.

Yes, ecoboost is now the base engine & hybrid is a $1500 option. That should be part of the private offer for 2023 re-orders.

Because yupididit's is a 2023 re-order he should be near the front of the line. My understanding is the 2023 re-orders are first priority.

D03S order number on my 23 turned 24 order. I decided I didn't want it about a month after I placed it, but I really didn't think it would take a full year (or more?) for it to go to production. How is ford so bad at this? Actually, my employer has recently started doing some business with them, and...yeah it makes sense.

^Hmm then I'm doing pretty well for 2024 with my order number.

So, out of curiosity, how many are opting for the copilot 360?  If you already have your car, what are your thoughts if you got it?

I ordered mine with and have had opportunity to experience a number of newer adas systems running the gambit, but not Ford lanekeep assist yet.

Was just looking on a 'used cars in your area' website and noticed that $50k Mavericks are a thing?!?

Even used base models are listed at $25k...

I'm getting antsy.

Mine is sitting at a distribution lot in Wilmington Delaware awaiting being put on a truck to my dealership.

Been there since last Thursday and supposed to come the next day every day since it got there.

11 months and counting.

My  '23 BRZ sat at the distribution lot for about 3 weeks last year, with 34 other cars bound for my particular dealer. Couldn't find enough truck drivers.

Finally got delivered to the dealership today.

Xlt Ecoboost awd with 4k tow in Alto Blue. Lux package and the copilot 360

I just broke 10k miles on my 2023 XLT hybrid last night. I'm right at 37.4mpg lifetime average but frequently get over 40mpg on my 41 mile commute (traffic and speed depending). Truck has been solid with just a few issues:

Leading edge of the tail lights keep popping out. This is a known issue as the bushings that capture the pins on the tail light assembly suck. The fix is to just order new bushings but I haven't done that yet. I just smack the light when I notice it.

I have a rattle in the passenger side door panel. Its more of a buzzing sound but happens all the time over 35mph. Its annoying but I just turn the radio up. I'm not taking it to the dealer for that. I'll investigate when I swap out the horrible stock speakers.

I had a weird no-start condition a few days ago. Me and the GF went to go to the store and the truck was completely dead. I had just driven the truck home from work less than 12 hours prior. I ended up jumping the truck and it started right up. I had this happen once before but it was after the truck sat for 7 days when I had covid. I believe it was the Battery management System that caused the no-start condition. I performed the BMS reset procedure and will keep an eye on it.

I updated the radio firmware version via an OTA update. It was supposed to improve a few things but now Android Auto takes longer to initially connect. I'm not a big fan of Ford's SYNC system to begin with and my XLT has the watered down SYNC version. It works. Most of the time.

All in all, the Maverick has been a great vehicle. My 2023 has escaped all of the recalls except the erroneous "air leak" DTC. I haven't had this issue but my VIN falls in the range of affected vehicles. I'll take in it eventually.

Something like 1700 miles on mine so far.  (Ecoboost XLT Lux package with  Copilot 360)

No real problems per-se, the only thing is DANG the direct injection can be noisy and clackity sometimes, especially on cold start. First time it did a noisy startup I was ready to roll into the dealer thinking it was valvetrain trouble.  Might get an engine cover to try to cut the noise down.

I need to get a car seat for my youngest that puts his legs down lower so hes not in "kick the upper seat" range (hes big and ready to move up anyways).

Other than that, I REALLY like the truck.  Its working great for family hauler duties. My wife likes to steal it.

So far, I have done the following

  • Spray in bedliner - done by dealer (they offered a lifetime warranty on the bedliner, so I just pulled the trigger)
  • Roll up hard tonneau cover - Truck 2 Go - I kind if wish instead of external locks, you just unlatached it from inside after opening the tailgate, but the price was right and it works well. I am working on the drain lines to do them better than what comes with.
  • Rokblokz mudflaps - https://rokblokz.com/collections/truck-mud-flaps/products/ford-maverick-2022-mud-flaps - installed seamlessly and easily with no drilling and seem to be great and sturdy.
  • DeeZee tailgate assist (got from amazon) - pretty easy install, does its job well. Worthwhile.   (you do lose one beer opener for it though)

The XLT level copilot 360 package is pretty good. If you go into the menus and turn on the lane keep assist and not just the departure warning it nudges you back into your lane well without being intrusive. It doesnt make you rely on it, but it does offer some stress reduction reassurance when you inevitably get distracted by two young kids in the back seat.

Also, while not FAST, it scoots from a stop pretty darn well.

How long do you have? I might have changed my mind about trading in two cars at once (like I was talking about in the other thread) and just sell the leftover one to CarMax or Carvana or something. The trade-in I'd bring with me would be a 2016 Civic.

Details? IIRC it's an XLT.  Any other options? Color? Dealer going at an already agreed upon price (if so can you share?) or renegotiate if somebody takes it over?

I just got an email with late Feb build date for mine and my deal is for X-plan pricing.

I can ask him if they can for another buyer.
