Do it. It's not that hard. I've seen them last 100k, I've seen them snapped at 62k. THe choice is yours, but I'd REALLY suggest just throwing a $40 timing belt on it.

DEFINATELY interference. Here, this is on my old '02 Elantra, but other than the p/s pump placement the rest is pretty close:

Thanks. The car is under warranty and the service manager is a customer (Harley-Davidson) of mine...so given that, and given that its butt-cold in Wisconsin, I think I'll pay for the pros to do this one.
