Romanian festival (Grandpa was Romanian, yet from Vienna somehow) was last weekend at the church across the main street by my home. For some reason there is hardbass that I can feel in the walls of the house a quarter mile away, and has been EVERY. BERKING. YEAR. since I started living here. (Not that I am complaining, it's just funny)
Ukranian festival down by where I work was last week too. I think there was a Polish thing down that way recently as well.
There's a whole lof of Eastern Europe in Cleveland. Which reminds me of when I first met Orion. He said "You must be the guy from Cleveland!" Uh, yeah, that's me. "Yeah, you look like most of the people I knew when I was in Euclid."
Finally retrieved the WRX ("Snoopy") from the garage last night, wheel bearing turned into a CEL and crazy idle surges that ended up being IACV and another week waiting for the $40 part from Amazon...
Theoretically I will be at one or both of the October events at least. (Looking at you Mother Nature and your surprises.)
Boo!
But actually, yay! I am not going to have time to get the motor mount fixed in the 12 minutes before my uber gets here to take me to the airport. And apparently my cousin is getting married on Saturday and people expect me to show up to that.
How many hero points do I get if I do the OVR PDX at mid ohio on the 25th and the rallycross on the 26th in the same car?
In reply to dps214 :
You get the Spirit of Dave Rudy award, who did PDX and rallycross with same car. Same tires too, if I remember right.
The people at Mid-O will also be happy you do the events in that order.

It will give me time to either fabricate a new floor for the '84 RX-7 since it is failing in exactly the same way that killed the '85 RX-7, or put an engine that doesn't suck in the '81. Or procrastinate while talking to certain people who may be putting their MA cars up for sale because I'm getting tired of breaking 40 year old E36 M3, and this includes bits of me, and I have a dangerous amount of credit for someone who has no major obligations.

Already signed up for a kids Halloween event on the 26th with the 501st, so that means I did one event this year. In Mile's Miata. Half tempted to sell the WRX.
In reply to Jerry :
I'd buy the WRX from you, but I'd probably accidentally drive over it at Nationals while you watched.
The cancellation has completely removed all motivation for me to actually repair the car that I broke in Michigan. Maybe I'll start working on the car on the 24th.
26th has offically been postponed to the 2nd or 9th of November.
