York PA, huge car weekend, and get to meet Andrew Nelson

Andrew and I just spoke and we confirmed our plans to spend the weekend with him at a couple of mega events.

Andrew and family (PACC Racing) have suggested that we have a meet and greet at Casa Da Horsepower, otherwise known as, their house, which is in York.

If you can join us, post up so we have an idea on numbers and be prepared to be awed at what can be created on a shoestring budget.

I did this last year and it was simply amazing.

I'd love to go, but a family commitment in Toronto that weekend. Maybe next time.

Bah, I was just talking about the need to do this with another PA GRMer, but I have a prior commitment that weekend. If plans change I'll be out.

Also a double Autocross at the PA Farm Show Building in Harrisburg on Sunday the 7th.

Its going to be a crazy Weekend For Jessica and I, Sons graduation, we both work Saturday night. We will try to hook up with everyone somewhere if we can for a few.

This will be great.

"NSRA Nationals East", "NSRS Nationals" takes place in Louisville Ky in August. It's kinda weird they name all their events "Nationals" then add the plus or regional suffix to all but the one. Seems like it would be confusing to the participants.

I will be showing the Focus at the All-Ford Nationals on Saturday. If any of you get there stop by and say hello. I'm in group B327 and will probably spend most of my time at the Focus Rising tent (first one on the left just past the wash area).

NASA weekend at Summit Point. Have fun without me and my wit.

I might be able to stop by Casa de Horsepower Saturday or sunday sometime, shoot me a PM on your plans.

Let me know who is coming and when. Tentatively, we are planning to do the Street Rod Show Friday and the Ford Show on Saturday. May swap the days depending who is coming and when. Plus we have a ton of work going on in the garage, so I'll be there often.

Is there any planned time to all get together for a while to bench race or watch Andrew turn wrenches? I don't have the time or stamina for really checking out any of the events for too long but always enjoy the company of like minded folk.

I am down for whatever, but I am still adjusting to this parenthood thing and need to plan my schedule accordingly...

I will also be at Carlisle on Saturday. I should be easy to find, because there aren't usually that many Fairmonts. Last year, I was the only one.

So how was the weekend? Did anyone make it out to Carlisle, other than Hal and me?

I tried to call Steve(aussiesmg) once, but the cellphone situation was so screwed up I didn't get thru. Cell towers were definitely overloaded. My BIL and his wife and a nephew and his wife were there also and we ended up using text messages since they seemed to go thru.
