Just brining another gallon of gas to the fire, I was up at the dream cruise Thursday, Friday, Sat and even Sunday morning after it was officially over. Observation of the bikes reinforces my earlier comments. There were a fair number of bikes cruising. The sports bike were well represented, and to be fair in my comments on helmets most weren’t wearing them as they were cruising at approx.. 0.5miles per hour, but 95% of them did have their helmets with them strapped to the pillion. Also many had loud exhausts and did gratuitously rev them from time to time. The thing was, as soon as they let off the gas you couldn’t hear them, just a low pitch mumble. The hard core CPS’s on their Douche mobiles though were different. Again no helmet worn, but this time there were no helmets present at all. Also even when they weren’t revving the nut’s off them they were still the loudest berkeleying thing in the vicinity, which at the dream cruise is saying something. It’s a bit much when a road bike is louder than a full on drag car with wheelie bars, parachute etc. on open headers and blower.

As an aside, one of the funniest things all weekend was a group of sport bikes revving their engines. Once they stopped and you couldn’t hear them over the cars, one of the guys on a bike but who hadn’t been revving his bike cupped his hands to his mouth and made loud rRRRrrrrrRRRRRrrrrrRRRRRrrr noises. All the spectators laughed our asses off at that one.

You mean there were sportbike riders not at MotoGP in Indy?

I have to say, no helmet on is no helmet, I could care less where it's strapped.

and this: "It’s a bit much when a road bike is louder than a full on drag car with wheelie bars, parachute etc. on open headers and blower." I call BS on. I've never heard any street bike come close to a full on drag car like that.

Should have been on Woodward over the weekend. I really berkeleying hate 93.7% harley owners more than ever now.
