A Toyobaru and a Nissan Leaf.
The Toyobaru looks a lot more compact and curvy in person, would totally own one if I had an extra $100k lying around (yep that's what the dealership said is the least I could expect to pay to import one.) I passed an early S2 Elise (with the bucket headlights) just before I saw this and I think I might have actually liked the Toyobaru more.
The Leaf somehow looks less like the bastard child of a Fiat Multipla and a Soviet attack helicopter in person. Not good, but not so bad. It doesn't really stand out among the other grocery-getter wagon-hatches which is about the best you could hope for.

This confuses me.
100% import duty + various other fees that add up to exceed the value of the car + big shipping + Japanese currency situation = Toyobaru that costs as much as you'd pay for a new ZR1.
Isn't the "Toyobaru" the Scion and Subaru (AE86) twins or something that can be purchased for less than 30K ?

Hahahahah, that's exactly what I would have said if I had thought of the analogy.

Stateside, yes. He's not stateside. 100% import tax tends to screw with prices a little.

Somewhere down in the Bahamas. LOL Is your house big enough to host one GRMer at a time for their vacation needs?

I call BS.
You're right, I'd probably just post different questions about twin-turbo setups and aerodynamics rather than ghetto fabrication stuff
