I had to run what I consider exotic protection ammo, Initially Ruger ARX before I got my shipment from Underwood Ammo. They're solid bullets, but cause the same wound cavity as JHP's. Those all loaded fine until it was broke in.

LRB's lowest level is $800 more than a James River.....And I want no part of Springfield......berkeley them.
The LRBs are pricey, but I linked them in the interest of completeness. I'm considering trading up my full sized Springfield M1A for a James River carbine length M1A.
My Springfield was made in the 90s, so I'm not familiar with them now. Why the hate against them?

Fit & finish on the modern SA m1a's are inferior to Norinco/polytech IMHO. I'm still salty with them over the XD that was a turd, and the coup de grace is that they are playing nasty politics in their home state of Illinois. Basically carving out an exception for themselves while screwing over everyone else by supporting extra draconian E36 M3.

It smells of Bill Ruger's support for the 90's era AWB, because he thought it would boom his business with the Mini14 vs the AR platform. I still know people to this day who will not do business with the Ruger company over that man's bullE36 M3.
