That's pretty neat. Both my grandfathers were farmers, and my uncle still raises cattle. I'll have to shoot him a copy of that.
I'm a city boy. Never spent any time on a farm. I know that being in that biz is tough stuff. Dayam, that is a great video!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks, and I mean that.
Thanks Mom and Dad for being farmers ... you taught your son's how to work. How to milk cows. Stack hay and fix things. Along with lots of other things.
Some lessons I am sure we have forgot. Some lessons we will never forget.
Thanks for it all.
And thanks to all Farmers for what you do today. May you get a great crop and a great price.
I grew up across the road from a feed mill, and spent this harvest season working at the local elevator. Sounds about right. Pretty much all my friends think I'm one of the physically toughest people they know. I look at some of the farmers I've known and think I need some work yet.
Having come from a farming family I can say that man speaks the truth. I kick myself for not getting more involved in farming as a young man.
Totaly off topic, but was I the only one who thought of Hazel O'Connor when I read the thread title? Or is it just becuase I'm the right age and British?
Growing up in a farming area and then teaching school for 28 years in a farming community I can certainly appreciate that video.
