Well, almost two and a half months in I am still "going" on my resolution to work out 20 minutes per day. You know, Colin Chapman and all.
"Going" is in quotes because I have not done it every day, but I do not consider it a total loss. I have done 37 workouts (today will be 38) over 70 days (today will be 71), so slightly better than every other day. If I can keep that up all year I will be happy.
I have also tried this multiple times before, but this is the most successful I have ever been (sans swim team in HS and college). I think it is because I have a simple and memorized workout, it can be done anywhere (for the most part, I do have dumbbells for one portion, but the workout still works if I am in a hotel room for work and do not have them), and there is a lot of streching, so the workout does not feel daunting and I can actually motivate myself to get started each time.
My goals are to:
- feel better (stronger, more endurance, clear mind)
- look better (less belly, duh)
- make a good lifetime habit
Who's still with me and what is your resolution?
5 days a week gym (when not traveling or sick, which is a lot lately... Hello 3 day in hospital infection stay)
Enter gym at 6, leave at 8.
It works.
Keep it up. Add more hours into your day, by getting up earlier. That's what I did. I'm down 40 lbs from last year and went from a BF% of 26% to 16% (measured with my calipers).
Nope. I applaud you for doing better than 50%, my "exercise more, eat better, be less angry" attempts have been a big fail on all three counts.
Yup. Not a drop of alcohol, and only been really angry once, eaten WAY healthier as well and down some pounds. Have to keep trying though I need to start to be in the gym.
Nope still plodding through this life with no plan, goals or ambition.
But good for you, keep it up!
I resolved to not make any this year and you know I have been able to hold to that. Lowered my stress level so far and I can do what ever the hell I want to.
Life is good!!!!

Yep, I made a resolution a few years ago to not make another New Year's resolution ever. I've stuck to that pretty well.

It wasn't a resolution, but down 16lbs since I turned 43 in January.
I knew I forgot to do something on New Years. Oh well, I'll make two resolutions this coming year.
I've still managed to put off making a resolution.
Next month I'll have the chance to do my resolution. I resolved to race my car one way or another around here, and have finally managed to track down autocross within an hours drive. I've never done autocross, I'm pretty excited for it though. Test n Tune day is April 30, season doesn't start till May 24, i feel like a little kid waiting for xmas.
