A couple weeks ago I was sitting in my den using the computer when I saw some school children on the way home looking at something in the front yard. When i looked out the window this is what I saw.
So I ended up crawling out the front door and hiding behind the post to the far left in the picture to get the shots of the hawk. He was enjoying his dinner and I was able to get some nice close-ups.
He was so intent on having dinner that I was able to get back in the house, out the back door and around the house to get some pictures from other angles. I got a total of 65 good pictures.
I wonder if a cat would go after a hawk on the ground. If it was that intent on lunch, things could get real interesting. I know my doxy would, but he's not too bright about his limitations. He basically thinks he's a dwarf rottweiler.
