Dunkin makes a coffee roll that is addictive. I have to admit that I will get one every couple if month's. They are what they are. A cinnamon sprinkled cake thing with a white sugar glaze. I was a tad upset the last time I was in due to them being smaller now. I told the manager about this and she smiled and said more profit for them. Make them fifty percent smaller and reduce the price by twenty five percent. They are selling more of them than ever now. They were almost a meal before.

Owning a BMW or an Audi makes you into a hipster? I thought it just made you into a prick.

I'm not a hipster I am just in an area where I don't have to tolerate E36 M3ty donuts.

Mr. Grey would like to see you if you don't care about what kind of sex.... You do care and you will care very much more.

You make a good point. I would be hard pressed to choose between a Dunkin Donut, a Dominos pizza and unexpected prison relations.
Since you're in Bawlmore, Hon-land, try Villiage Junction down in Arbutus. I swing by there usually once a week or so and grab a tasty pastry. They brew Zeke's coffee, which is a local favorite. And they're cheaper than any chains I've been to. I walk out of there with a large coffee and a scratch-made pastry for $3.36 after tax. I usually drop a buck into the tip jar for good karma.

And I don't appologize for it!
What about Honey Dew? I gave been there several times and the coffee is consistent. Donuts are ok. Kind of the K Mart version of Dunkin Donuts
I like doughnuts and related tasty things, however I am weird in the fact I hate coffee. I have a hot chocolate once in a while. Tim Hortons over DD any day. I miss Dawn Doughnuts.
In reply to captdownshift:
You didn't have anything to do with this did you? DD torched
In reply to Wall-e:
Thankfully that occurred prior to the release of the cold brew nonsense exhonorating me.

Every Honey Dew I've had coffee from in the past 5 years tastes like they put human earwax extract in the brew. As you can imagine, it's pretty gross. Their donuts are way better than Dunkin' Donuts, but not nearly as good as any small independent donut shop. And there's always flies buzzing around. Meh.
In the Boston/South Shore area, we also have Marylou's Coffee. It's basically a coffee version of Hooters with coffee served by jail bait in short shorts or yoga pants. If you like creeping on young ladies and coffee with crazy flavors and lots of sugar, cream, and added stuff, this is your place. I always feel obligated to tip the performers... ahem... servers on the rare occasion that I go in there.
My go-to for iced coffee if there's one nearby is usually Cumberland Farms. $0.99 gets you any size hot or iced (always get large iced), they have more flavors than Dunk's, and their "Bold" brew coffee is really good. At the one near my house, it's set up more or less like a Wawa or Sheetz, if you are familiar with those. They have breakfast sandwiches, hash browns, and more. And it's as good or better than the food at Dunk's. The only caveat is that you have to go in the store, grab a cup, and put together your coffee yourself. I don't necessarily see that as a bad thing. Side note: the people that own "Cumby's" are building a fortress of a house on the edge of town. It looks like their newly remodeled stores, and it has a stone wall around it with a gate house. It also has a giant silo built into the house that could double as a stellar observatory or a missile launcher.
All that said... Dunkin' Donuts is a New England institution. I still drive by the first one (Southern Artery in Quincy MA) all the time. Their donuts are small and crappy now and used to be so much better. The coffee varies by location and who is making it. It's usually just alright and good in a pinch, as long as the person making it gives half a care about what they are doing.
I'm not going to lie, I'm a hipster. But there's this place downtown in St. Augustine called Kookaburra and it's absolutely delicious. They have an Aussie iced coffee with vanilla sweet cream and these giant amazing scones and muffins. It's only a short walk from campus, too.
I guess we are pretty lucky here in the Euge. I would have to travel about 15 miles to find a Dunkin and in doing so I would drive past 20+ local coffee roasters slinging amazing brews and at least a dozen local donut shops, pattisieres, high end french bakeries, and delicious and inexpensive mexican bakeries.
It would never cross my mind to go to a Dunkin.
Edit: I just checked. The local DD's have all closed. According to the website there isn't a location within 50 miles of me. Looks like they closed over 5 years ago!
And because of this thread, I went out just now and got a "cold brew" Dunkin' Donuts iced coffee. I watched the guy take a pitcher of coffee out of a little fridge, dump it into my cup, and add cream and sugar. That's it. "Crafted in small batches"... Not so sure about that.
How is it, you ask?
Tastes like I spent $0.50 more than I should have on a large iced coffee, because I can't taste the difference.
FAIL.
BONUS CONTENT: The Key Lime square I'm eating is ok. It's a Key Lime goo-injected square donut thing with graham cracker crumbs on top of a thin layer of frosting. Tastes alright.
Went to North Conway for the week. Every day started with a Dunkin Donuts coffee because there was nothing else around. 5 days of morning coffee and couldn't finish one of them. Had two cups of gas station road coffee on the way home. Finished one, wore one down the front of my shirt when the lid popped off.
