Not sure for how long, or in what form, but nonetheless new Bloom County can only be a good thing.
Not sure what "Back" entails.
Has the strip been put back into syndication? Is there a new book out?
Would love to have it back as a regular feature even though I stopped buying newspapers about 15 years ago.
Bloom County was okay, but it got too political for me - on the other hand, if someone could convince Bill Watterson to come out of retirement that would be news.
Once upon a time, a girl who played a very significant role in my personal history had a stuffed Opus sitting on the shelf in her bedroom. We had to turn it around to face the other direction. It was very distracting.
I really never "got" Bloom County. But other than Dilbert and The Far Side (and maybe one or two others), I was never too interested in the comics.
I went back and looked some of the older Bloom stuff over to see if it made more sense as an adult, and while it is more comprehensible, it still doesn't interest me. What do you guys like about it?
I love the sardonic humor that he brings to bear on political and social current events. Plus I enjoy the drawing style. I started reading them at an age where I was becoming aware of the larger world, politics, foreign affairs, etc and always found them funny. It managed to straddle the line between editorial cartoons that really were trying to say something and totally absurdist humor.
At least, that's always been my take on it.
Attack of the Mary Kay Commandos was one of my favorite books growing up.
I use a Bill the Cat reference when describing managers at work. "They scooped out his brains and replaced them with tater-tots."

I still have that stuffed Opus in my old room at my Mom's. I guess it has become relevant again. I for one welcome back Bloom County. It was pivotal in my younger life.
