I would have to argue that these guys are the best road race drivers out there. These trucks have to be the most ill handling pigs to ever hit a road course. The fact that the majority of them stay shiny side up is amazing.
If I was wealthy, I'd have to buy a seat in one. I'd suck at it, but damn it would be fun.

Agreed, looks like way too much fun. I've been following Creed for a couple years (since he did the Dakar) he's quite the driver for 18

Modern WRC driver comments about his Historic toy and how it needs to be driven.
"Cooling needs to be 90 degrees, maybe 100, maximum 110." I remember a semi recent WRC in-car where they didn't seem too concerned with 130C coolant temps but they shut down at 145. (As the BOM guys would say, that's 266F and 293F, for those of you watching this in black and white)
The shifter is interesting. Audi B2-chassis guys seem to have a shifter fetish, because Audi Sport made the coolest looking shifter ever, all castings and machined bits and mechanism and it was all right there in the open. Latvala's car has what appears to be the same stamped steel and plastic shifter that you'd find under the shifter boot in an Audi 4000/80.

I'm convinced that they only put the one or two jumps on the straights so that they are forced to use enitrely wrong suspension for the corners, to keep things exciting.
It's kind of like my idea that WRC cars should have their suspension travel limited to 200mm, but the other side of that particular coin.

The shattered One:1 is just cringeworthy.

Why? The cabin was intact, heck the doors even opened.

Some of those I'm like "BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA idiot" but most are like "damn man, I feel for ya."
The what I think was a civic type R, maybe a Renault at 50 seconds was brutal, and unfortuanately thanks to WearyMicrobs recent issues, when the Viper crashed after I got over the thought of the passengers head hitting the guard rail I thought, "Its totaled"

Damn it seems like a lot of those could be avoided by not letting randos drive in the rain!
Those couple of corners claim a lot of cars and bikes....
I recently "finished" making the engine mounts for the 2.3T Lima into my Courier. Still need gussets and paint at the very least, but good enough for now. I got to use them for an extra credit project for a class I'm in, as long as I made a video to share with the class. Low production value and not very technical at all, but here it is.
This is the best in car I've seen in a long time. For once it really gives you the sensation of speed and what it must be like to drive a top tier open wheel car. This is testing or practice not the race but wow, it give me that feeling I haven't had for years, the understanding that I just can't do that. Note the camera in the right hand mirror pointing back at the driver. I've seen shots from it, but never seen it's placement before. Also notice the fence on the nose. Never seen that before either.
