I'm also looking forward to that....I watched the original again last night.

I had forgotten about the 'grid bugs.' They only get a second or two of screen time, and a passing mention from Yori. As they are flying the solar sailer , she looks down and says, "We'll be in trouble if those grid bugs get us."

It would be neat if the grid bugs had a more substantial role in the new film....not as a Big Bad, obviously, but they'd be great as the antagonist in a small scene...something where they actually had to be defeated or outrun.....it would be an easy way to cover new territory while staying true to the original film.

Interestingly enough there was a dead wild boar along the side of the freeway this morning.
