Must need turbocharger work.
At least he bought some new block.

Given it is a 6.slo leaker, my guess is head gaskets, oil cooler, EGR cooler, and head studs. Too bad, you can do all that with the cab on. You just have to get rid of the inner fenders to have working room.

Great googly moogly. I finally figured out how they raised it that high: floor jack.
I'm imagining a 4x4 on end, on a jack pad, with Flat Stanley pumping away on the handle and a crew cab rocking around on some cinder block stacks above him...

Sounds like exactly what it is. Have to pull the cab to do that, and it's the only "correct" fix with the head studs. Why the hell would you use torque to yield head bolts on a friggin diesel?!

It. Is. Incredible. As in forget to breathe because you're so focused on how much damn grip and torque you have.

Do they do road courses in them? That looks like a really really good idea.
I was mostly wondering if they were symmetric enough. Looks like they are. Add Whelen to my CL searches. Check.

For some reason those things remind me of pecan pie. Only instead of cheating to achieve your goals by just throwing more butter and sugar at something, you throw more engine and tire at it, beyond all reasonable limits...
"Thermonuclear pecan pie" didn't give me any good images, so here's a Nova called Overkill that Hot Rod featured when I was a kid...
Its twin-turbo and supercharged 454:

That, sir, is an excellent analogy.
