Actually, the above pic is of East Coast legend and some say the father of East Coast modifieds, Dave Kneisel. Said to be the first to run tri-five frame with pre-war body and offset and set back motor and driver. He also played around a little with center drive to set back motor more. Mr. Kneisel's modified racer below:

The Chevy chassis cars were probably some of the best looking dirt cars. I think for building a streetable one that would be the way to go. We were talking about doing that someday with my father as he would like one to play with. We didn't know much about them though as we had always run asphalt and had switched over to running stock cars by the time they started building cars like that.
