Well they originally had hotroded Buick nail head start carts, probably assembled by the 11 29th SAS so there's that.
Surprised to walk into Sweetwater today and see this in the lobby
Replaced the crappy OEM radio in the corvette with something a little more modern.

Those starters were built by Curtis Kraft of Indy and Midget fame.
The starters, I saw I though had 4 motors in them?
The nail head was chosen for its torque output.

Each cart had two side by side. Each engine got its own cart. Even after they switched to 454s, they were always known as "Buicks."
