The truly sad truth of Father's Day..

Damn Skippy. I type this as I can't sleep due to restless baby in the bedroom.

Ouch. the car in my photo got similar damage the following year, but at least it was in competition when it happened.

Judging by the body damage that appears to be aluminum not feebleglass your first photo is either real or a very good repro car. Photo below is Hal Keck at Rose Valley H.C. 1969
Imagine going 136.36mph in 1907 on a motorcycle with an air-cooled V8 designed for use in a dirigible, with no suspension, no real brakes to speak of, the tire technology of 1907, and no transmission. Oh, and on sand. Yeah, the dude had stones.

I might get dragged for this, but I think it's better looking than the C-47/DC-3.
Also, really interesting museum. Glenn Curtiss is kind of like Tesla, really ground-breaking guy who doesn't seem to get the credit he deserves.

And handlebars that it looks like you stuck in your belt loops to steer.
Hotlink for the thread. Suzuki Jimny with a G-Wagen body kit.

Spend much time on that and you won't have to worry about it.

The Curtiss was better at flying the hump than the DC3.
