Yesterday going to work.. I come up behind an odd looking car. It is sitting at the stop sign ahead of me and I can't quite get my brain to wrap itself around what I am seeing until I get up behind it.
A Maroon Metallic P71 with the interceptor badges, spot lights on the A pillars, and push bar intact... Rolling on 22s Donk/Bubble style... At least it sounded good when they pulled away. If I had a camera (or the good sense to get my phone out) I would have taken a pic
There's a sky blue p71 around the corner from me. I think it's on 22's. I keep wanting to hit it, because it's parked on a 2 way street, parked the wrong way, and the street is so narrow that you have to crawl past to avoid it. What REALLY burns me is that they have a perfectly good yard they can park it in.
Except for the spotlights and push bars, there are dozens of cars like this in my area, too.
When I see a classic, like a nice '60s GM car on 18s or 20s, and jacked up to fit them....I want to "beee-slap" the fool.
We also have a lot of large/expensive Euro and Asian sedans in this area with truely hideous metallic paint jobs....UGH. Example? A lime green late model 7 series on 22s.
The upholstery shop two doors down from up just did a Crown Vic rolling on 24s. They put $10000.00 worth of green and yellow leather in that car. The guy was a football fan and the entire car was in team colors. I don't remember the team.
$2000 car + $5000 wheels + $3000 paint + $10000 upholstery = $1500 car.

Packers?

Obviously the guy is not in his right mind anyway just from the description of the car, so more than likely he is a Packers fan.

I wonder if you sent that to the cops if they would send him a ticket in the mail?

redneck ricer?
I do believe here in South Cacalacke he'd be busted for bumper height.
It cracks me up to see some dimwit rollin' 24" lo pro dubs on a jacked up 4x4 pickup. There are a couple around here, I'll try to grab a cell pic sometime.
This one is still one of my favorite quick snaps.
Yes that is a sub woofer wire tied to the back of a moped.
There is a wagon I see once in a while that I have been trying to shoot a picture of for you guys. Late 70s Malibu on fat stickies all blacked out. The guy always seems to be in a hurry and by the time I hear him he's past me and gone.
no.. donks are not too common around here.. surprisingly considering the lack of taste in Most of Atlantic City/Pleasantville area

Sorry, looked at it with out my glasses. I thought he was passing on the shoulder. Which happens down here more than you would think.

Actually, in the case of this house, yeah, by about $1500.

Guy I work with calls that a lane and doesn't seem to get it when we tell him it is the shoulder and it's illegal.
I always forget that my phone has a camera. While visiting a friend out of town he took me to look at an old Midget someone he knew wanted to sell. It was in better shape than I figured it would be in and wanted pictures of it. Forgot my phone in my pocket has a camera so I missed out on pics.
I wish I had one yesterday. Walking through the parking lot at work I spied a jet black Fiat 124. I mean this thing was gorgeous, deep deep black shiney paint. Everything else on the car, wheels, interior looked like it was just detailed. I ran to the lab and grabbed the camera but it was gone when I came out.
Oh well....
Nope. I carry an Olympus Stylus Tough. It's waterproof to 33 feet, freeze proof to -40, and can withstand a drop of around 10 feet. I can vouch that it is truly idiot-proof because I am truly an idiot. I never hesitate to toss it in a pocket or bag, so I almost always have it on me. (I started carrying it after I ran into Elvis and Jimmy Hoffa in a diner and had no camera!) If you are in the market for a new little digital. I recommend getting a tough one, I think that Olympus, Canon and Pentax all make them.
Cell phone cams are getting better and better, so even if I don't have my Olympus or DSLR, I still have a 5mp camera with flash in a pinch for stuff like this:
It looks like the board is not allowing links to Flikr, or Flikr sucks. How about PhotoBucket?
Ahhh, that's better. I guess that concludes my trial of Flikr!

Actually it is a construction lane on the tollway I355 in the Chicago area and he was totally legal; except for doing 75-80mph. Also he had Michigan plates and I believe they are a little more lax on the tire and bumper laws.
I just got a kick out of the giant lift, tires, and diesel stacks charging down the interstate at 80mph on a nice Saturday.
