I figure anything's better than something like this: I shave mine once a week with shaving cream and a razor. I think it's been about 15 years now.

First rule of being bald is not to be fat. That is the only rule. If you have a beard no hair on the neck that is the second rule but you are not fat so people will let that slide. .
Mine started falling out around 18-19 or so. I just buzz it back with no guard on the clippers that I use on the dog every week to keep it clean. FYI if you are a musclier guy with a shaved head and a beard people assume you own a Harley. I know this from experience.

I can jam clippers.
I use the clippers with no guard on my beard and mustache and with the shortest guard on my head. When my hair gets messed up by my hat I know it's time to trim again.
I rocked the mid-stage Bruce Willis look for my late 20s and early 30s. Then my nephew had a super hero birthday for his third birthday. I decided it would be fun to go as Lex Luther and shaved my head. Surprisingly, everyone like it and I kept it. A few months later my wife asked me to try a beard with it. That was like 5 years ago. Now, I’m not allowed to go back.
Try it and see, it may be better than you think.

No beard?
I wish I would have gotten a clue and started shaving my head a lot earlier than I did. I fought it far longer than I should have and looked quite stupid for a good while.

Oooh, old thread. Now 48, still enjoying super thick hair (slightly grayer).
Ask anyone that saw me at challenge, I'm not entirely sure how a razor works, or what it does, and I'm told I don't need to worry.
I've got a little bit of hair left on my head. But you know what? If you go bald there's nothing wrong with that. Really. If you think women won't appreciate you because you don't have enough hair, you're wrong. (Well, maybe a few who put hair before substance).
If you exhibit a strong personality, you will be just fine. Women don't care about your hair. They want a strong individual. Work on that. Whether you shave your head or not, it doesn't matter. Just be a good, strong individual.
(Annie told me, and I believe it).
