Not a canoe! Just bragging on a score. Wally mart gave me a $75 e-gift card related to my new WM credit card and I guess everyone kinda needs a jump starter so I bought this one. Reviews weren't too bad. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Stanley-1000-Amp-Peak-Jump-Starter-with-Compressor/13035281

Sure there were a million other odds and ends I could have bought believe me but this seemed like a no brainer for "free". Again not a canoe! https://www.walmart.com/ip/Stanley-1000-Amp-Peak-Jump-Starter-with-Compressor/13035281alt="" />

I had a really nice (small) one made by Rockford from Tool Topia, but from keeping it in my trunk the battery swelled. Now apparently they don't carry that model any more so I need to find a new good one. The one I had was a little bigger rectangle than a checkbook and maybe and inch thick, but I jump started a v10 dodge truck with it once, no problem. I got one for mom for Christmas last year because she called me at least 2 or 3 times needing a jump start... ;)

Coincidentally, I was at the gas station yesterday filling up when a guy walked over and asked me to give him a jump, as his battery was weak. I did, and his car started right up, but it made me think I couldn't remember the last time I'd come across someone who needed one.

I have that guy's little brother. It's decent, just haven't used it much. Compressor is slow, but nice to bring along to auto x or if I don't wanna drag out the big boy compressor at home. Jump started my motorcycle fine too, haven't used it on anything else though.

I've use that model before. They are adequate for a couple jumps. I bought a "Jump and Carry 660 "for about $125 for work and never looked back. I can use it all week without recharging it , jumping probably a dozen cars and putting a small compressor on it every now and then. I've had it for three years and it's a little beat up but still works like new. Plus they give you a certificate you can send a damaged box in for one time replacement for $75. It's what all the car autions and wrecker drivers use.
