not a bed, but my grandfather had an old couch he didn't want anymore, there was no delivery people to haul it away as my parents were giving him their old stuff. with nobody handy to help him get it out of the house, he broke out his trusty sawzall and chopped it up into manageable pieces and carried them out of the house.

i wasn't there, but apparently there was couch stuffing everywhere that had to be vacuumed up with a shop vac.

You guys are overthinking this.

I had a teacher back in high school who told us a story about this.

He had an old couch he was trying to get rid of and put it outside with a free sign on it, and had no takers.

A neighbor told him to flip the sign over, and put a price of $100 on it, and it would be gone in no time.

He said the it was less than 12 hours later someone had taken it.
