I think I setteled on my SBC car last night. Still need to consider what color to make it. I really wanted to use either the Mini or the 2002 Turbo since I own similar cars in real life. The BMW could not be tamed by the likes of me and the Mini I did not enjoy driving eventhough I could get decent lap times at the ring GP course with it. Didn't feel or sound anything at all like my real Mini. I also wanted so much to like the Elan, but I just end up drifting it on every turn. Not enough skills to really drive it.
So far I can get a quicker lap time at the ring GP track with the spec MX5 than I can with my SBC car, but at LeMans it's a different story.
Sent message, in for the second season. Cant wait to see what cars everyone selected for SBC!
BTW, I finally found the Fireblade for sale. I fixed the trans and only did N/A mods to it and with sport soft tires its a real monster!

What does it mean when the map starts to oscillate back and forth? Only see it at LeMans on the long straights.

I like the fireblade. I've only spent time driving it at Tsukuba though.

I think the map camera follows the chicanes regardless of if you are actually driving the track that has them or not. I noticed that when I was running some practice laps.
So I'm testing the Elan, Isuzu and S600 back-to-back. Still not sure which I prefer.

The Izuzu is a handful when you have it all tuned, without the turbo yet haha
The Fireblade is a hoot, fully tuned n/a it's just crazy, Nurbs fun though for sure. I can see the SBC races turning into a Formula drift event LOL

It won't be any worse that CM from the first series. The SBC cars should be 200-300+ hp less.
While I can kick the tail out on my SBC car, I am actually finding that I was able to give it wonderful balance.
I like SBC much better then the CM class because you actually have to race the car and choose a line, not just limp it through and try to hammer till the next turn.
Yea, I agree. I think SBC will produce better races and racing.
It took a good bit of tuning, but I managed to get the Mini to be pretty neutral and toss-able. It took a bit more work than I wanted. I had to play with both the suspension and the diff to get it where it had good turn-in and wouldn't plow off into the gravel pits as soon as I touched the gas. I don't think it will be ultimately as fast as the other cars but I am betting on consistency.
As much as I feel I should use the Mini, the Alpine 110 is on the used market right now. However, I'm kinda broke at the moment and it's at the bottom of the list. I may need to choose some reward cars to sacrifice.

no joke here on both accounts. My CM car from last season had 850ish lb-ft, 730 hp, was 1300+kg and would understeer terribly. As soon as i hit the gas, it would oversteer terribly. My SBC car always oversteers, and not too terribly. should be a cake walk lol.

I have a crapload of cars that qualify for SBC, let me know which one you want and i'll see if i have it to gift to you. I'm quite sure I have an extra mini laying around, if that's the one you want.

Thanks for the offer, but I have a mini. It's the Alpine I'm pining for. It's been one of those cars I've always thought was pretty cool.
I have those, too, if you're interested
The CM race was just nuts, the SBC is controllable at least haha
Yeah I have some oldies also if you'd want a trade
How did some of you get your to hook up instead of just brake the tires loose, I mean I can eases the gas in but still, I could show one of my practices, Nurburgring short GP, where I drifted every corner, controllable for sure compared to CM though lol
I am soo pissed...my internet started to act up awhile ago because of this DNS problem, well I found a good fix where I manually entered everything and changed the DNS numbers and it worked fine for when I raced you guys but now, it seems to shunt me off again!!! arrrrghgh
Bought the game last Thursday, didn't play all weekend, saw the finale video tonight.
nice! you still got ways to go
Finally got my Ginetta G4 and it's even red. drooooooool
you want a yellow one? lol
Op fun I'm not the only one with a Ginetta! Mine is pink, though, but not the kind that can be confused with red lol
With the Ginetta weighing 454kg how are you guys going to meet the minimum weight requirement of 500kg?

The new update that was pushed out recenty lets you add ballast. You pick how much weight to add, and then get to pick to fore/aft distribution of it.

Ballast. It's even useful to move the ballast around to cure the oversteer, though it doesnt help much. I may switch to the cosmo though because of my rotary love
