Ok, I live in a town just outside Scranton, PA and one block down from me, I swear is a fellow forum member! Out back he's got a Clark Griswald LTD wagon with wood finish sides and canoe rack, a Saturn, recently I see a Miata, I used to see a P71 parked out front, sadly a steel bumper MGB returning to base elements. I think the DD is some sort of Ford Focuscort. Whoever you are, you magnificent bastard, you must be on here! Is it etifosi??
Hi, my name is etifosi and I'm an automobile hoarder.
And the garage is stuffed to the rafters w/LBCs & bits.
Thank you, first time anyone added "magnificent" to said sobriquet.
A month or two after I moved I met my neighbor across the street at an autocross with the club I organize with. He has an LS-powered FD RX7, and another FD shell (with full cage). I was over at this place last weekend helping him diagnose driveline noises.
I need to get him on here...
I've got a neighbor who I swear must lurk on here. He's got a lifted XJ Cherokee, a sweet green Porsche 912, and I've seen a Fisker Karma parked at his house a couple times.

About 8 years ago or so I thought a neighbor was building a locost in his garage. Turns out it was nocones' MG. When I finally stopped in to ask about it, Driven5 was actually there working on his locost middy next to it.
Then they both promptly moved away.

My old neighbor Mike used to autocross and race a 240Z in SCCA GT5. DD'd a nice 996.
Years ago, I was coming back from an auto-x and his wife asked me "do you aotocross???" I was flummoxed, because I'd never guess she'd have known the term.
They moved away 2 years ago, though.
Hahaha. That wagon is like the bat signal for automotive geekdom. Mr etifosi works just down the road from me as well. We have attempted to meet for drinks or to make use of those kayak/canoe things once or twice but never quite got it done.
Maybe a threesome pushes it over the top? (nohomo)
Ha! I think we actually met years ago when I lived in the apartment across the street where Scott lives now! Think you were in auto sales at the time! I'm now the next street up (the other street that begins with an "L") directly behind Scott (who actually is SWMBO's cousin but more like a nephew) in the cape cod with the detached that had the black '63 Fairlane and now has the loud, red '14 RAM Crew. LMK if you need an extra wrench.
Vaguely remembering meeting, were we shoveling snow?
Cool that there is another germ around. I'm pretty set for wrenches, but do need new curse words to use when wrenching!
Hahaha, my phone turns grmer into germ! I love it.
I've never ran into someone from here in any neighborhood I've lived in, but I have met a few. It would be nice if any of you nut jobs lived near me, then I wouldn't be the only one!

You used to live in Appleton, right? I still live hear, its just I dont do any car stuff but drive.
Mazda605 used to stalk me. He lives around the corner. One day he got up the courage to PM me and then swing by a few days later. I was building my kids playhouse. He pulled in and then backed out and left. When we finally met he said he didn't want to look like some kind of weirdo pulling into my driveway to look at my cars. I had to point out that he was driving a rotary powered pickup truck, and that fact alone made him a weirdo. That was the moment our friendship was sealed. There isn't a nicer guy in the world.
I wish I had more grm neighbors. There is one guy down the street who has a newer miata on big wide tires, but I have never seen him, just the car.... One neighbor has a couple project cars but I don't think he's on here.
Oh PNW guys I think we need a meet a greet again....

I know Chris. I have not seen him in a while. I did not know you were local.
When Tim was up this way and we had a impromptu get together at FF. That was a great time and got to meet a bunch of GRM Forum people. I also got to meet Tom for the first time at FF that day.
There are a bunch of us GRMers down here is Carver/Plymouth/Middleboro, but we never seem to do anything together. Chris and I have a bunch of other sports car buddies down here that are not on this forum. Large pool of guys you know you can count on with some very diverse talents. The fact that there is so much open space, and for the most part, the towns allow you to have as many unregistered cars as you want makes this a breeding ground for people like us. The wife felt the need to count my vehicles the other day and informed me I was up to 16.
don't know if it'd be helpful, but some of the forum members are on the GRM assist list.

Yeah I went to college there. Probably half that time though I was just a lurker here.

Let me explain... No, there is too much. Let me sum up... If you need someone to "turn" a wrench, or at least to drink beer, point and laugh.

I'm in Middleboro, and Chris stops by my place once in a while when he's in town. My wife knows him as "Chris with the weird van". There are quite a few of us on the South Shore, actually. Pseudosport is in Hanover, and two of our Lemons/Challenge guys are in Hanson. I think fellow GRM'er EbonyAndIvory is in East Bridgewater, too.
Speaking of GRM neighbors, I have a neighbor that I thought for years was a weird guy or meth manufacturer due to the fact that he has a hot tub on cinder blocks in his yard. Turns out he's an engineer, and he's pretty cool. He lives alone (divorced) and his garage is bigger than his house. He has a 1995 Corvette, a couple of beaters that he alternates between, a 1990's Dodge Ram that he got for free, and he is restoring a 1985 GMC S15 just to spite his ex-wife (he got it in the divorce years ago and she screwed it all up). He has the hot tub because he is going to build a deck on his house that incorporates it into the design. He'd fit right in here.

Very interesting. I'm in RI. Gamby is in RI. Dean, Todd, SilverFleet, and Stu67tiger (who mostly posts on the CMS board) are in nearby MA, as well as a few others it appears. Sounds like we need a Southeastern New England get-together at a local watering hole, or meet up at an event at Thompson and make a party of it ...including any other ne'er-do-wells you know with similar interests who don't post here yet!
BTW, etifosi, every time I see that steel bumper MGB, I always whisper to my self, "locost". Kinda like on Hot Tub Time Machine when they whisper, "Great White Buffalo"...
Put myself on the "Assist List". Pretty much stated "I'm of no real use but here I am!"

I was just up there! Spent a week at my uncles pond house in Plymouth. Tried to have Chris over for a cookout but our schedules didn't line up and he had some work issues come up. If I make the trek again next year I'll have to organize a grill/beer/swim day better.

If anyone is around this weekend, Thompson is hosting the 24 Hours of Lemons. I'll be there with the team.
