I sent mine out on Friday. They told me 7 days but 'because of the holiday'...
I got a box! I approached it with great suspicion, since the return address was that of the infamous Wally. It had important handling information on it:
Open it up:
Stickers! I think the Ford IMSA 1985 sticker is probably particularly rare, and definitely cool as berkeley regardless:
What else? How about an origami bus, a foam bus, a Wall-E, some minion thing, zip-ties, a utility spork keychain, some hotwheels cars, and the world's greatest tool:
It's a hammer and also a ratchet and also another ratchet!
Both 3/8" and 1/2"
Thanks Wally- I use all my ratchets as hammers anyway so this thing is a step in the right direction!
In reply to Woody :
Speaker is bluetooth, it actually cranks pretty good for what it is. Use in garage or whatever.
The sickspeed logo and the spikes are from my neochrome phase. They're actually the ends off of the ridiculous lug nuts I bought from eBay or some E36 M3. I actually lost 3 or 4 of them at highway speed when I moved to florida. They were not very good.
The motor is actually a traxxas velineon. I cooked the speed controller right after I got the truck, and decided I wanted another mamba anyhow. Any traxxas brushless control should work, throw a new spur gear on it, and go. With the right batteries and gear ratio, it should be able to take an rc truck to 65-70mph. Actual, not scale.
The disney buttons are mostly interesting. The happily ever after ones, you can get those anywhere on property. However, the other ones were one day only cast exclusives. A disney fan might like them.
The 36mm socket I bought in a pinch because some asshat had nicked my short one for changing the oil im my former cooper s. I was jist going to grind it short, and got lucky at ace hardware before I needed to.
The box, let me tell you, I was pissed when I found out it wasn't flat rate either. I had to go to three post offices to even get the damn thing, and it was in the large flat rate section. Turns out, everyone in tourist hell wants to mail E36 M3 around Xmas. I'll learn someday. All in all, a bunch of useless garbage, and a turn signal from my speed 3. Admittedly, I was a bit intimidated when I got your name, but I'm glad to see it worked out.
Is it an iron worker's tool?
I don't honestly know- but it's one of the most beautiful tools I've ever seen!
In reply to paranoid_android :
Seems to be some sort of scaffolding tool. Ratchet claw hammer returns plenty of results.
It was in a box of tools I inherited. A hammer and two ratchets seems like it could be handy in a rally car. The spork comes in handy if you run across an unattended ice cream.
In reply to Wally :
If I have both the spork and the hammeratchet even a well defended ice cream isn't safe!
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I'm afraid my packet's gonna be a bit late. For some reason my mom mailed the stuff to me in Welland instead of having me mail it off while visiting Kelowna. Sorry about this.

Mine is also not sent out yet. Got the main large items in the box, but it was too cold to go hunting around the garage for other junk to stuff in.
Somebody has a sense of humour.
An anonymous Amazon package arrived at my door with three boxcutters in it.
I had to open the package with an angle grinder.

No worries guys. I checked the list today and we haven't even passed the 50% marker yet. There is still plenty of time for more shennanigans

See? That's what I love about GRM. They see a member in need and they help 'em out, no questions asked.

Guilty! When I received package #2 from you I felt I must.
They wouldn't let me send a gift message with generic box cutters. Sheesh. This exercise will lead to another off-topic forum post soon.
I just got back from the post office over lunch (the one near home opens @ 9AM.. Seriously, don't they realize people need to stop by on the WAY to work?!). XXX from Carnegie, PA, you should have something magical to open on Friday if Amazon delivers something as well*. Otherwise you're just getting my box of crap.
*Note: I did not order you anything from Amazon.. I'm just saying that if you want to get something on Friday that isn't complete crap, you better take care of that one yourself :)
All the way from Carlisle, PA
Hefty mofo
the spread on top of an ARP poster
Cree LED flash light, better hide before my niece steals this
12x1.5 lug nuts, hey I have cars that all use 12x1.5!
polishing pads
300psi hose and summit stickers
JEGS stickers, digital caliper, strapping kit
blipshift +5 hp sticker, motor trend sticker and some little blue balls. those are going on the mazda.
And the prize at the bottom, responsible for the heft, this flywheel.
Educated guess says my Secret Santa is Furious E?
Thank you for the gifts and another fun GRM New Year treasure box game!
Wow, a flywheel! That is really giving USPS the finger!
I got my box all packaged up (barely got it all crammed into a medium flat rate box) and should be able to go drop it off at the post office here soon.
RevRico said:I want one of those!! what do I even search to look for one?
This does look the cause and solution to most problems I encounter. This is the gentlest phase. The next step involves the angle grinder, sawzall and/or torches.
In reply to DuctTape&Bondo :
Yes indeed! Hope you enjoyed it, I'm always worried my box will come up lacking compared to some of you guys. The flashlight would have been much better appreciated in its original packaging, which prominently featured multiple obvious spelling errors and I had been saving explicitly for this purpose, but SWMBO apparently pitched the box at some point. The blue balls came with a set of Truck Nutz I bought my dad for Christmas a few years ago (best gift I've ever given, or best reaction at least) and I've been itching to give those away since I forgot to include them in my box last year.
And yes, the flywheel was included solely to add heft and give a big F.U. to USPS since they refuse to deliver anything too large to fit in my mailbox. Thought about throwing the clutch disk and pressure plate in as well, just for E36 M3s and gigs
