I finally sent mine! If you live in VA and are still waiting it's on it's way!
I have to admit, I got a little excited when I read this. Minivans check, turbo dodges, check. Ive never owned a turbo dodge but had a fascination/appreciation for them since my early teens anyways. Something about E36 M3box sleepers that can blow the doors off things. I remember being on the SDAC mailing list (remember when mailing lists were things?)
A nice note, haha
Dodge demon tee and Minivan tee, bag and coozie, zipties, a stack of stickers, bottle opener/screwdriver set, beltclip marker/sharpie, exhaust hanger, spark plug gap tool, some rtv, a 900lb coilover spring if the box is correct.
I will be sure to place that I <3 METH sticker in a prominent location on the cabinet at the outside edge of the garage for all the neighbors to see.
Thanks for the goodies!
I just got back from running a bunch of errands, one of which was dropping off a box at the Post Office. Some lucky(?) person should see it Friday.
I hope I'm not the last one to send out?

Time to open your box then, right?

Uhh.. no, I'm Bluej (also Josh)
I confess I don't know who that is.

So in a stroke of luck, when cleaning out the Rampage to load it up to take things to the theater for this weekend’s show, I found the USPS receipt!
The bad/annoying thing is that the package should have been delivered a week ago, but has been sitting at the regional hub, delayed, for the last week. Is it really still that bad up in the Northeast?? Am planning on looking up the number for the post office there and calling them up to find out what the heck the deal is...
The package I sent should have hit US customs by now, now to see how long it takes to find it the rest of the way to its destination
It's here! I got a box! From the Great White North!
Booo! Customs form almost ruined the surprise. I looked away when I realized that it listed the comments and snapped the pic later.
Good taste in filters! Master packs are cheaper and less wasteful (no individual cardboard containers), it's the actual Wix Gold line (instead of the super cheap qwikeelube-quality ProSelect), and from NAPA.
And the goods! I got a Canadian license plate, which I didn't have in my collection, very cool! A roll of what looks like yellow mylar? For fog lights maybe? New SAS safety glasses, a bottle opener (Timken, another good brand!), some decals, a packet of High-Temp Lube (SWMBO got a kick out of that one!), a pyramid of Canadian Smarties, a Hot Wheels 240Z long nose and C7 Z06 convertible, a 3.5L HO badge, some hangars and bins for my pegboard (useful!), a 1990-91 Acura water pump seal, 3 new racing spark plugs (hilarious!), and a used boost controller (now I need to turbocharge the Cobra...). The piece de resistance was however the circa 1977 polishing cloth, now with lemon oil!
(Notice that I got a 10MM socket? I won the game!)
Thank you random internet forum stranger from Canada!

Woah. I see why you asked.
Who wants to loan me some sweet rides, now?!
In case anyone hasn't figured it out at this point, I was the sender of the package in the David S. Wallens Unboxing Video.
As psyched as I was that they decided to make the video, I was equally bummed that he missed the profile of celebrity driver Bruce Jenner bookmarked in the issue of Racing magazine. That would have been video gold.
Alrighty! One large flat rate box jam packed and having traveled from Washington DC to the PNW
Bursting with loot!
Love this
Advice accepted!
Mysterious Nardi hub adapter
I love a mystery
First bench load
Drill guide, Some diamond abrasive wheels, GFCI outlet, RFID protection sleeves, grip tape, airline pretzels, a garlic slicer that the missus grabbed and immediately used to prepare dinner, safety glasses, a nice "concept cars" coffee table book, Hi-Viz stickers
Some LED bolts
And the second helping
Calvin and Hobbes book, some appropriate periodicals, 1/4" socket rail, 3 casters, MS stickers, a sheet of perforated aluminum, a novelty flat flashlight, bulbs, electrolyte pills? double sided tape.
This note was free floating so I will need to scour the magazines to see
And these provided the entertainment for Bianca this evening.
I seriously had no idea what they were and sat there inspecting them. I mean they were clearly filled with a fluid, but I couldn't see an easy way to open them. One time use lubricators? some sort of scifi movie style street drug? Bianca kept laughing and saying "Seriously? Come on grandpa!" and then after 10 minutes picked one up,snapped it and shook it and threw it at me.
Ah! I get it now.
I still haven't sussed out your user name. I did see the real name on the magazine mailing label though. Thank you! this is the perfect "spirit of the event" package. I love it and a lot of it is going to be used.

Nice work on the re-gifting mate :), have you managed to get through the jar of vegimite from last year yet?
I wish I had time to participate this year. You guys have really upped the game!

I might actually too. That book looks really familar.
I am going to apologize now to my box recipient, it is not up to par.
this year, i tried to balance the original intent of "grab random crap that you should've thrown out years ago and send it to a random stranger" with my desire to give things that might actually be useful and/or fun for the recipient. looks like that's what most people did. the proliferation of Horrible Fright locations has made this pretty easy. i mean, can you ever have too many microfiber cloths or zip ties? ;-)
before you judge yourself to have underperformed, remember that there are people on this board of all ages, incomes, skill sets, and packrat factors. if it made you smile tossing it into the box, it's a win.
i've already got my box to fill for 2018. i just have to remember to fill it during the year.
I got all excited two nights ago because my box was delivered!
Then I was slightly let down when I realized it was the turbo I ordered in Boost Everything! thread.
Then I smacked myself for being slightly let down that my brand new turbo was what arrived!
Have been on hold for over 2 hours now trying to get USPS to figure out why the box I sent has apparently been 'in transit' between a hub and a post office 40 miles away from the hub for over a week now. Pretty pissed off at the post office on multiple levels (delivery & customer service, to be precise) right now...

I've been kinda packing my box for a while and still haven't sent it out, just because I know I can fit more/better stuff, but I think I thought of the last thing to toss in tonight and planning to send it out tomorrow.

Phew! Looks like it made it safely!!
The yellow film is an eBay purchase that proves I don't read. I bought it for my foglight and thought it said 12x6, and it was actually 12x60 when it arrived.
The 3 plugs are the same part number I was running in the turbo intrepid (hence the boost controller) As to how I ended up with 3 extras I can not remember. They are new so maybe useful or re-gift candidates?
I work at Napa so the box was easily accessible so I snagged a few clearance items (safety glasses and pegboard pieces)
I later raided my shop and came across the polishing cloths, we have a few packages of that and the waterpump gasket I couldn't figure out how we ended up with it as we have never owned an Acura.
Glad you liked it!!

I have my ways. Thanks for the box. Sorry I didn't post pics yet. I have pics, but my photo bucket account got berkeleyed by the hot linking limit and I don't know how to do it otherwise.
I'm a little worried that my recipient hasn't received his box yet as I sent it out on the 27th I think. Shouldn't take that long to get to the Midwest.
So, I've been a horrible human and haven't sent my box out yet. Apologies to whoever my recipient is. I promise I'll do it this weekend. I have a load of treasures for you...poor soul.
