Why? Is it because it's a lush, opulent car? Is it because the wilton wool carpets? Or because of the big, torquey V8?
No, it's because today I learned that they have chain-driven window regulators. That's why. I would pull of the interior door panels and ride around with them off just so I could watch the windows go up and down. That's sweet!!!! I wonder if they have pyrotechnically released hood catches.
That's awesome...
Do they make drawbridge/portcullis kinds of sounds when they move?
I understand and fully support your plan.
Go for late fifties early sixties instead, the shifter by the door on the wrong side beats the window thing IMHO.
Try to find parts cost. That will quickly break you of that lust.
I still want to put a diesel in one

Dittos. Peeyulmp. And berkeley parts cost, just light that once-high-priced-hooker on fire when you're done with her. And deposit her at the local recycler.

Yep. Awesome until maintenance/breakage.

I wouldn't care what broke, as long as those windows still went up and down. And Ransom, if they do make that noise please don't tell me. I would NOT be able to control myself, I'd go buy one now.

Yeah, that's not a terrible job though on that Cutlass.

Troof. It's damn close. Raise the rear a bit, wider/lower offset rear wheels and it would a bit more spot-on.
Then I guess y'all are blind or just did not look at the taillights. Looks like someone grabbed random boxes from the truck clearance lights at DangerZone.

You aren't serious are you? That thing looks like E36 M3.
Oh my god that Cutlass is HORRIBAD.
The door panels still look like the old Olds E36 M3 they are. Huge panel gaps, especially in the back. I seriously facepalmed when i saw the 3400, then laughed hysterically when i realized it was FWD.
And then there's this:

This is my favorite shot.
Anyone else notice the "badge" is glued on crooked?
Edit: Damn...beaten to it.

Truth be told, I didn't look very close. Anytime I look at a kit or replica and it's not immediately obvious what the car started out as, it's already better than most.
While I agree that the pics shown prove that I have eyesight like Ray Charles, I'll say this: If any of you that say that car is bad like Utes, your comments are null and void

And here I thought the reason to own a Bentley was to get laid.

Clarkson hooked me when he reviewed one of these things (Continental T or Turbo R or something) when it was new, and he described it as having "the aerodynamics of a stately home."
I want one in a bad way.

All that fail, but "DON'T GET THE CARPET DIRTY, A**HOLE!" Heelarious.
You know, we had one on the Classic Motorsports side of things.
Andy wrote a few columns about the experience. We recently posted this one: https://classicmotorsports.net/articles/andys-advice-club-saved-my-bentley/
(And that is his car shown in the photo.)

Not to mention that the tail lights look like they are upholstered.
@DrBoost: Your opinions on utes are now officially null and void. Your opinions on any and all aesthetic issues, actually. I have to take a screen shot of you having said "Yeah, that's not a terrible job though on that Cutlass," and post it every time you make fun of a car, ute, or any other actually awesome vehicle.
