Due to people's persistent and ugly posting of political arguments here despite our many requests not to, I am considering taking a page out of the kidnapper playbook.
If political threads keep appearing, and the same players keep posting, I will consider those members fair game for banning from this forum. This could take the form of a public-style execution, or it could be a stealth hit a la Mossad; the common denominator will be its random, probably unfair nature and the glee we mods will take in exacting the punishment.
Consider yourselves warned.

I said 5 years ago that political threads were destroying what was a good forum. I've come to realize that it's not politics. It's the dozen or so posters (as well as the few trollers) that will argue about ANYTHING. Nonetheless, I'm happy to see them go. IBTL, as they say

I know I post in those threads but I don't think I attack anyone or argue as much as debate.
Either way, I am going to avoid the ban hammer. I like it here and don't want to be banned.
