For quite a while, I have run across veiled references to the Amy Thread. The posters seem to think it was around during the summer of 2015 and that it was long since deleted. Curious if this fabled thread may have life beyond the grave, I hit the Wayback Machine... and found a thread about Amy Schumer and Taylor Swift in the summer of 2015.
Then checked the thread title on the current forum and found the same thread.
Seems to have the potential to be The One. Red pill? Blue pill?
Infamous Amy Thread?
Welllll????
In reply to CJ :
Lol, not even close. "The" Amy thread involved old girlfriends and a daughter the OP didn't know about until it was too late. Wayyyyyy too late.

It's one of those ya had to have been there moments, attempting to revive is futile and needs not be attemped.
I have it on very good authority that the original post and thread occurred between snapshots for the way back machine. Because of course it did.
It was the craziest thing ever.
Had to be here. Iirc, it only lived in the moment and was gone almost as quick as it started.
I'd love to relive it. Good times

100%. I'd at least like a follow up from the original guy.
In reply to CJ :
Yes, but he has requested multiple times that we just let it fade away. So he may not be very forthcoming.
Yeah, finding it would be like trying to recreate Woodstock or to sell a wishbone Honda as a new car. It's just not a great idea and people wouldn't have nearly as much fun the second time around.
But man was it awesome in the moment. What a time to be on the internet.
And full disclosure: we don't even have a copy. This is our own version of the Tenacious D song "Tribute."
OK - I didn't understand it was a sore spot with the OP.
Sleeping dogs and all of that.
Nitrous fogger had a kid out of wedlock?

There were some follow up threads after the original disappeared that were entertaining as people tried to describe the Amy story without becoming part of the patio.
I can confirm the Wayback Machine does not have a snapshot BTW. It was up for less than 1 day.

Speaking of snapshots in time... I'm just gonna sit back and sip on some Hennessy....

(There's a few threads, it was a thing for a hot minute)
Well what they say about the internet is true. Once on the interwebs its there. Google Amy Grassrootsmotorsports. The first hit will lead to a thread that is not the original Amy thread, but will give you a decent understanding of it.
Delete this if you wish.
I could have sworn Amy was a thing long before my time on GRM, but if 2015 is accurate I guess I just missed it.

I have it on further good authority that the original poster of that thread kindly asked that it be dropped, so that even if a copy of it did exist somehow, you'd never find it.
One wacky day. I was lucky enough to watch the whole think unfold. Good times. Never ever occurred to me to screen shot it or ctrlA copy past at the time.
And yes the OP wanted the details of all that to fade away into the past.
