When I was a rink rat and ice skating a lot, I borrowed a friend's dad's rollerblades so I could go skate with some friends a couple of times. I mostly remember riding down a flight of stairs and being amazed that it actually worked smoothly, but I scuffed the skates in the process and friend's dad revoked the loan of the skates. Fair enough, though it's hard to imagine trying to keep them immaculate...

I never did any of the bat-E36 M3-crazy stuff like grinding handrails or anything...

I have played hockey on a basketball court with them. They are a lot heavier than ice skates but the upside is that you don't bleed out from a kick in the groin.

My only real experience with inlines was off season Roller Hockey and most of us bought inline hockey skates as they fit and handled more like ice skates, never really had the hankering to try the crazy ramp and street style stuff.

It was my preferred mode of travel on campus. I would bike to campus and swap to roller blades for the rest of the day . . . I was so fit back them . . . .

I have nice set of fairly new blades in the closet. I should taken em out over the holidays and see how many times I attempt to fall

Used to WAAAAAY back in the day. I skateboarded too. Then I shattered the growth plate in my ankle and kinda ruined both for me.

What's the hardest part about learning to inline skate?

Telling your parents that you're gay.

/I skated a bunch in college - lots of tennis ball hockey, lots of road rash.

I had some bauer hockey skates that I just cruized around on... most comfortable skates ever... but I killed them from hopping off curbs and crap :-/

I picked up some oxygen argons in the mid/late 90's... agressive skates = way more then I needed but i never killed em... not sure what ever happend to em.

have a pair of rollerblade fitness skates in the closet... last time I pulled em out was 2 years ago when my daughter had a b-day party at the skating rink... I supprised even myself at how smooth and quick I was... def the fastest fat man in the rink lol...

yeah, fruitboot is a word that is underground in the inline world lol

people tryin on hockey skates seem to be the popular answer. I got addicted from when my school had parties at a local roller rink. Then in middle school, discovered skateboarding which I still have my board. I BMX too so now I have my bike and snowboard for the winter but I recently saw an inline video and it just all came back haha the aggressive skates nowadays are comfortable and so different on what you can do.

I haven't put on my inlines in 7+ years, but my coworkers and I are planning a skating trip...should be interesting to see how much I remember.

I hope I don't look too comical in my decade-old Oxygen aggressives. Google seems to indicate that company doesn't even exist anymore.
