No suggestions for names. But a few guidelines if I may.

School children are creepy nasty little creatures, don't give them any traction to taunt your kid for having a weird name. Enis comes to mind but I'm sure you can think of more.

Avoid overly trendy, "fun" twists to do to their name. Those kids are going to live with having to spell their name for everyone forever if you stick a moniker like "Carrver" on them.

Personally, I feel shorter is better. My name is three syllables and I don't like it. Two is better, one is usually best.

Even doing that you still run the risk of everyone else coming to the same idea. My 9 year old daughter has one of those names we worked so hard for, only to have half the girls in her class have the same one.

Congratulations! Now the hard part begins :-)

BARDRICK. I'm trying to confirm but I'm almost certain we found it in a Baby Names book when we were having #2. It means "the axe slayer". At least, that's what I remember.

We decided on the way to the hospital on the name for our last son. Well, I say we agreed in the car, wife says when I filled out the BC.

Yesterday on our road trip we made a stop at a Loves truck stop. As I was waiting for my wife I found this on one of the shelves. So now the baby has his very first toy car waiting for him already.

We tried to come up with a name while driving yesterday and could not agree on anything. Wife is also kind of stuck on wanting to have two middle names for the kid so that just adds another layer to it.

Well she just got home from spending the day with her sister. When she got back she was all excited she had thought of a name using some of the names we talked about.

She came up with Aidan Connor Dominic Crites. The kids initials would be ACDC. I am not sure she noticed that or not.

Inter-family baby name stealing seems to be an epidemic, I'll have to remember to guard potential names like trade secrets if/when it's my turn

It's different, it's badass, it sounds classy, and it wasn't made up recently. Seems like a winner.

A couple years later her sister gets pregnant and during a conversation about baby names we tell her what our choices were. Bear in mind we were actively trying to have a child. Fertility doctors were involved. Wife's sister decides its perfectly acceptable to use the name we had picked out for a girl, and her reasoning was we could still use the same name.. no problem ... right?

Same thing happened to us, only it was my wife's best friend from high school. We could have used it for our son who was born before this bitch's spawn, but we wanted to use it for a girl. I guess we could have used it anyway when out daughter was born, because we don't ever see this woman, but it was like it was tainted. BTW, the woman daughter turned out fine!

We had a girls name easily picked out. He picked out a boys name at the stoplight on the way to the hospital.

Congratulations.

I'd use the name you picked previously, if you like the name. Tough E36 M3 for the sister, and everyone should know the story if they think it's a weird coincidence.

I wanted to name one of mine Boyd. I just liked the name. Thankfully my wife rejected the idea (this was a couple years before Boyd Coddington was portrayed on TV as a raging shiny happy person).
