Montero is treating me very well, except for the piss poor mileage. That is party my fault though as I put 33"X10.5" tires on it :)

The only thing to go wrong thus far is a few light bulbs burned out in the cluster and in the digital compass and the central locking actuator is acting up. Light bulbs were very easy to fix and I've yet to dig into the door to replace the actuator. Those are no faults of Mitsubishi, just deferred maintenance from the PO.

Glad to hear & thanks for the reply. The Montero has always been near the top of the list of realistic SUV choices.

LaForza is at the top, but those are few and far between.

I'm often tempted by the LR Discovery, but I figure if I'm headed into the unknown I'd rather leave potential unreliability at home. I have enough of that in the driveway and my commute.
